This thread is about a defence alliance of which there is a member that has 2 enemies on either side in Afghanistan and India. It has been relentlessly attacked for the last 20 years culiminating in the attack by India in May 2025.

Both Syria and Pakistan have been the most affected. The fringes of the Islamic world have been under attack.

This defence alliance will finally bring peace and prosperity to these nations.

We build strong alliances with friends, not bargain with the killers of our people.

I don't think it's bullshit. And as an ordinary human being, I don't see how the existence of Pakistan as a country matters to me. Apparently, the existence of Pakistan is sacrosant and vital for its inhabitants. But for the last 80 years, Pakistanis have basically been living in authoritarian third world hell under siege trying to maintain these borders and allocating most of their money to defense.

What is your identity then if not one given to you by Pakistan?

Everyone is living in some sort of hell hole with some sort of dictatorship.

That Pakistan is "post-colonial"? That we will crush entire communities who are declared and open enemies to us? Both?

I have no problem with either. In fact, the latter quality facilitates the very survival and advancement of the "communities and people" of Pakistan.

The world is moving to nationalism at the same time criminal cabals are becoming more powerful and brazen all over the world. E.g. the US becoming more aggressive and militaristic with a criminal like Trump in power, India becoming more aggressive with a puppet of a corrupt billionaire tycoon in power, Pakistan becoming a dictatorship because the criminals families controlling PPP + PMLN wanted to avoid going to prison. Idk what you think of that, but to me, it is a sign that nationalism is a trick played on gullible people by criminals so they can engage in war profiteering.

On the topic of deracination. There is nothing more deranicating than Pakistani identity. Pakistan is a multiethnic country. Its constituent units have been speaking their own native languages centuries before Pakistan even came into existence. But the official language in the country is Urdu. The ethnic nations in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhunkhwa are cut off from the native lands their ancestors traversed long before Pakistan existed.

Pakistan is the last bit of Izzah left to the legacy of the Muslims of the subcontinent. Look at the humiliation of the muslims of hind that is currently happening at the hands of the fascists in India, that could have been the fate of the Punjabi Muslim or the Sindhi and others.

A last bit of trans-ethnic unity, a higher purpose. Without it its just a bunch of broken states, weak and divided, waiting to be absorbed and subjugated and made subservient to the Hindutwa order of the subcontinent.

My only regret in looking towards Pakistan is that it failed to prioritise and take direct action on the matter of Kashmir, and took half measures, whereas the Indians took full measures on matters regarding Hyderabad and Junagadh. Jinnah for some delusional reason though he could incorporate Hyderabad into Pakistan, and that the Indians would somehow accept it. They wasted time there and sent proxies to try to take Kashmir rather than a direct attempt as what India did with the princely states.

If it was me, i would have directly tried to annex Kashmir, secure water routes, when India made a move on Hyderabad and tried to consolidate the Princly states, and then built alliances with the Khalistan movement, and agitaged for a Punjabi Sikh state in Punjab, and placed it as a buffer between Pakistan and Haryana. But alas, Hindsight is 20/20 as they say.

Regardless, post 71, Pakistan has managed to survive when it could have been the end, and those who made the decision to secure nuclear status ensured that, they are the heroes of Pakistan, no less than the founders of the Pakistan movement.

There have been many mistakes made by Pakistan, IMO its still currently making many, but you have to admire its tenacity and refusal to give up.
