It was only the Prophets and nobody after that.. There no such thing as only noble lineage have divine right to rule after Prophets.. The same thing Jews say that they are “Chosen One.”

Technically, Iran does have a divine right on SoH, as its literally their territorial waters. Now if that happens to be on of the most vital waterways as far as commerce is concerned - that's neither here nor there.

If you are referring to maritime law/convention, so does Oman on the SoH. Similarly, Yemen, Djibouti and Eritrea all have this right over Bab el Mandeb. Iran cannot dictate terms to Oman regarding what happens in its territory. Yemen cannot, likewise, dictate terms to Djibouti and Eritrea.

Besides all of that, the relevant laws and conventions only speak of extracting a reasonable price for the purpose of national security. Those laws and conventions do not extend as far as actually bringing bodily harm and death/destruction to sailors and vessels.

Lack of preparedness, stupidity and overconfidence will always lead to collapse, defeat and submission. To challenge an entity a state has to be in par or superior to opposing to even challenge, victory is far ahead. If peace means submission then we have to learn from our surroundings, china which rose from century of humiliation to a superpower in less than a century. Revenge is best served cold..
