Makkah Defence Alliance: Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, news & updates

You cannot compare Azerbaijan and Turkey's relationship to Pakistan and Saudi Arabia's. Not at all. Making that comparison is the biggest mistake you can make when looking at Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The very foundation of this relationship is forged in unyielding religiosity, far exceeding any conventional comparison.

By the way, Azerbaijan and Turkey's relationship will be fine. This is a storm in a cup of tea.
When two people are deeply in love, they will never pay heed to any warnings about the possibility of a breakup!

In reality, the collective will of a nation will only compromise with reality and will not entertain impractical ideas. Individual will can only represent the individual.

This is a very dangerous point of view!

In international relations, interactions between states are, at their core, immediate exchanges of interests. Neither side owes the other anything! Once you start harboring the belief that the other party "owes" you, the relationship is bound to collapse rapidly. This is not merely my personal opinion; it is a lesson drawn from history.

The Soviets believed that it was precisely their selfless and substantial aid that enabled the PRC to win the war and begin its development—which then led to a series of "unreasonable" demands that crossed certain boundaries... and we all know what happened afterward.

The Turks believe that it was their robust support and assistance that allowed Azerbaijan to win the Nagorno-Karabakh War—and now... the relationship between the two sides is beginning to undergo some subtle shifts...

If too many Pakistanis come to hold the same view as you do, then the relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia could well be the next one to follow this path...

I understand your pov, it's correct very technically but sometimes when the relationship has real depth that creates a deeper buy in and need for give and take, to maintain the relationship

Everything is circumstantial, Saudi in any case provides relief during conflict, at minimum given the alliance and recent help it should ensure atleast that or a bit more, which is valuable.

That's a reasonable expectation given prior experience and changing scenario

You have to consider impact of not helping as well

India to this day believes it owes Russia loyalty due to Bangladesh war,so whilst it's not fully supported Russia it has not harmed russian interests actively despite pressure.

Never forget....

most muslim states as you know them today including their installed dynasties were british projects. Even Irans mullah regime was a western project conducted by the US, UK and France.

The syria you knew and her assad dynasty was another british/french project.

you think whites ever stop trying to undermine and harm non-whites?

Makes sense

Combined now the Makkah pact can allies can field

1,300 fighter jets
22 AEW Aircraft
33 refuelling aircraft
7,000 MBTs
1,200 SPH

Obviously age of equipment and capabilities vary but the above is one hell of a force

France, UK, Germany combined are

450 fighter jets
7 AEW aircraft
24 refuelling aircraft
600 MBTs
200 SPH

Makes you think how powerful Makkah allies can be if fully integrated

Yeah, just going by wiki but those numbers are approx right, also remember big quality differences, Turks have a lot of old M48 Patton tanks, Pakistan still flies F-7. UK is gold plated equipment , Typhoon/F-35 fighters, Challenger 2/3 tanks, but numbers are tiny (150 odd fighters and 180 MBTs)

The Makkah pact allies need to standardise around a common platform and that platform can be the Kaan, in the same way NATO did on the F16 and to some extent on the F-35.

Agreed, also Pak/Turks can step in and replace Saudi Badr and Madinah class Frigates and Corvettes with MILGEM and/or Jinnah class giving all three common surface platforms. PNA trains more Saudi cadets then anyone else, including Saudis themselves!

You could easily envisage a common fleet of MILGEM/Jinnah/Istanbul ships, with Pak easily able to supply extra manpower to help Saudis, much like a common KAAN fleet.

Having Turks and Pakistan large scale manufacture cruise missiles creates not only mass but also manufacturing redundancy for all three in event of wartime targeting of facilities

The Saudi Post

Pakistani media sources:
A diplomatic meeting is expected tomorrow, Friday, in Istanbul, bringing together four regional Islamic powers (Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Pakistan, and Egypt) with three major European powers (Britain, France, and Germany), in the first joint diplomatic meeting between the two groups.

Will this alliance deter and prevent India from attacking in the future?

I hope that If India tries something, the alliance will kick out indian workers from GCC and cut oil and gas to india. Saudi/GCC don't even have to send troops just do those two things and India will suffer greatly.

As long as Pakistan has access to Chinese military technology, combined with its million man army, this could easily be increased to 5 million troops, even 10 million, they can take care of India by themselves militarily. To have an ally like China surely is a blessing.

This bloc can assist with sanctions and embargos but its main function is for protection of KSA who fear a rugpull by the west in preparation for Israel's expansion or a belligerent Iran.

Given Pakistan’s limited resources compared to India, the Makkah Pact and yesterday’s Badar Pact are particularly important for Pakistan’s sovereignty and national security. Every piece of equipment, every technological advancement, and every improvement in defence capabilities gained through these agreements will strengthen Pakistan’s ability to defend itself.
