The point of a defence treaty pact, is that it is a defence treaty pact. If Egypt were to, for some reason attack Saudi(as an example), then I would expect both Pakistan and Türkiye to attack Egypt in return to defend Saudi. You can't have one for all, and all for one treaty and then say there are exclusions of certain countries. If defending Pakistan, or Türkiye or Saudi from an Iranian attack is objectionable to Egypt, then you are right - Egypt has no place in this treaty.

They are paid for and can help Pakistan meet its commitments in Saudi without Pakistan having to deploy Z-10ME to Saudi. It’s not an absolute necessity, the Z-10 can fill the role as well.

The focus for modern procurement has to be fleet standardisation and operations at scale to ensure cost efficiency across infrastructure, support, training etc.

I don't know what the "payment status is for those helicopters", but I do think Pakistan can move past them. If indeed Pakistan has "paid for them", then Pakistan should ask the Americans for help in "selling them" to recoup whatever money it can, and then move onto pastures new.

It is in Pakistan's very DNA to rise above the sectarian issues and not be involved too much to take sides in the wars between the Muslim countries. Pakistan, despite being a large Sunni majority nation, has been electing Shia leaders into power for decades. Nobody complains about that except the stupid ignorant people on the street level who think of the sectarian issues. Here are some facts:
Pakistan stayed neutral in the Iran-Iraq war of the 80s despite the Iranians had helped Pakistan against India before that and despite Pakistan being a strong Saudi ally. Pakistan didn't join the war on Saddam in 2003 and even in the 1991 war, limited its support to just guarding the Holy Sites in Saudi Arabia; in both those wars, the Saudis were against Iraq. Pakistan also refused to take part in any kinetic actions against the Houthis in the Saudi-Houthis conflict. Pakistan even continued to recognize the Assad govt despite Turkey-Saudi Arabia against the Assad govt. And in the ongoing war on Iran, it is Pakistan being trusted by both the Iranians and the Saudis to help end the war.
I am sure there are more instances of similar geopolitics by Pakistan.

Also saying India's options against Pakistan would be more limited due to this alliance and that this alliance will push India into an even closer embrace of Israel.

Newsflash: This has been a hybrid regime in Pakistan since ZA Bhutto was ousted in 1977. The military has dominated the foreign policy with input from the Foreign Ministry and I have no complaint about that! But even the military factors in the input of the Pakistani Foreign Ministry who beaurocrats are absolutely brilliant--one of the few bright spots in Pakistan's status as a misgoverned country of 250 million with low quality human resources. The Pak Foreign Ministry evaluates all the risks and rewards and makes the recommendations and they are sound decisions despite Pakistan's failures in many other ways.
In short, it doesn't matter who would be the PM of Pakistan, it is ultimately the Foreign Ministry's recommendations which define Pakistan's Foreign Policy. And there are no rooms for error given what Pakistan faces from its east for 8 decades.

Hybrid regime is not a dirty couple of words at all. I wish we would all get over this concept. It is made to sound dirty by the ululations and screeches of various banshees who claim faux offence at any government model that works well for countries other than their own. It is also made to sound dirty by myriad nations who operate an identical system themselves with certain other unelected forces swapped out for the military.

Let's take USA as a worthy example, where the regime is most certainly a hybrid one, run partly by a President with a dual house system alongside him, but equally by wealthy donors who have never once had to face any election or selection criteria to attain their influence. Trump's governance model is one step further, where simple friends and family are deployed, like some medieval European absolute monarchy.

Then there is the Secular Republic to our east, where wealthy donors and the prime minister's network of allies work in unison to control the judiciary and media to simply eradicate any attempt at critical commentary on Modi's actions. The judiciary and the media become simple allies in securing Modi's agenda.

One doesn't have to travel far beyond the horizon to see hybrid governance in full swing.

When someone throws shade at Pakistan for "hybrid" governance, we simply respond by reminding them that we are in fact still playing catch up with the vastly more maturely corrupt regimes described above.
