Maldives sacks multiple ministers to pacify India

Is expecting other countries to not poke their nose in India's farm laws, a "BJP Mind Control"?
The farm laws, no; the hideous oppression that was let loose, yes. Then it becomes the whole world's business. You know why? Because the BJP has a bad reputation for brutalising people. A reputation that gets worse with every bulldozer charge.

Remember, Indian politicians seldom poke into foreign affairs like farm laws. Neither does MEA.
That is precisely under question now, in Pakistan, in Canada and in the US. From multiple murders in Pakistan, to one very prominent murder in Canada, to attempts at murder in the US.

There are better prospects for Andaman and Nicobar. They are much bigger, as in bigger than Maldives. But sure, if it's easier to get to Lakshadweep why not. But it's too small for a giant touristy place.
I was studying Maldives transport system for tourists, you know.

They have one single airport with one single runway to accomodate large wide-body aircrafts like Boeing 777, in Male. From there, they take flights or ferry or road to their destination. Flights from Male to destination island are basically regional jets or turboprops or other smalller aircrafts. Its a basic hub and spoke model with Male as hub.

Lakshdweep can do the same, with Kochi and Kozikod being the hubs. Whats more, India can make Lakshdweep an extension of Kerala as a tourist trap.

Since Lakshdweep is small, having Kerala with it will make the entire package bigger while mitigating a lot of issues that Lakshdweep faces (like not being big enough to accomodate runways for large aircrafts).

India can also bypass entire airport issue by deploying likes of Be-200 (a flying boat that can accomodate 72 passengers)! No need to even make large airports on the islands. And Be-200 is a Russian product to top it all! Used world wide for fighting forest fire. It can reach Lakshdweep in less than an hour from Kochi or Kozikode. Even the farthest islands. Whats more it can double up as an emergency transport too as they can land on water as well and float as boats.

my hairy idiots were busy in more pressing issues like abrogating 370 pending since 1952 or so
Let us take it one point at a time.
Art. 370 was abrogated illegally. It is impossible to restore the status quo ante, so it is being let go, but what was done was crude and illegal.

fighting the worst pandemic since establishment of the republic,
Are you sure they were fighting it, or playing politics?
In not re-ordering the Astra-Zeneca vaccine, even when warned that the absence of an order would lead to diversion of production capacity to other countries.
In trying to push the Bharat Biotech vaccine even before trials were complete, leading to their rejection, and leading to a shortage of the vaccine.
In completely mishandling the situation in terms of post-infection treatment, leading to millions of unreported and under-reported casualties.
Have you forgotten the bodies in the crematoria, and the many more on the banks of rivers?

Give them 5 more years, it is likely they will work around ILP as well. Though I do not like those 5 years and making Lakshdweep next Goa but it is very much possible and it might happen as well.
All they have done is to punish people - innocent people, who have never been charged - by illegal detention, including journalists and investigative reporters.
They have bent one institution after another, the Election Commission, the Reserve Bank, the Supreme Court, the services, all these long after suborning the administrative and police services, and leading to the resignation of statisticians seeing decades of work compromised.
They have lost a dozen elections and taken control by paying huge sums of money to elected representatives to defect, in crass violation of the anti-defection laws.
I could go on, but these have all been verified and presented.

Well, I believe now popular opinion is to leave them alone... in dust that is. Lets see how it plays out. Big fishes are finding Lakshdweep very enticing.
We are not big fish, and we need to stay out of big bodies of water.

Are you telling me Indian politician not taking pot shots on their fellow politicians in a first past poll system? Even the most gentlemanly brits will not agree to it.
Pot-shots is one thing. This kind of vulgarity, the reason why a totally tactless Mani Shankar Iyer of the Congress called him a neech admi, is what his true self is.

Its a matter altogether different to make another country -- a friendly one at that!-- your single largest election issue.
I so agree. The Bangladesh government as incompetent, the Bangladeshi as termites, the Pakistanis as terrorist, the state of Pakistan as a source of terrorism....oh, wait, this is the truth, while the Maldivean politicians were lying!

Good, but not good enough.
I have nothing to say about your projections about the Laccadives and about Kerala as a hinterland, as I have said it, on this thread, a long time ago. Thank you for coming to the same conclusions, more or less the same week.
Oh, by the way, there is a better Japanese seaplane. Look it up. Quite a good deal, compared to the Beriev.

What are you doing on a military forum, btw?

1. Re-ordering Astra-Zeneca? India STOPPED all the exports to ensure enough vaccines are there to vaccinate Indian. And lets be honest, before Delta Variant came around who knew it could get this bad?

2. World over, corners have been cut in getting the vaccines ready. Totally new and untested technologies like mRNA had been pressed in service with no regard of safety in long term -- the effects of which are only now starting to surface. Yes, India did take shortcuts but Bharat Biotech vaccine was safer as it was based on old technology which was well understood. Besides, India due to sheer luck faced the WORST variant ever ie Delta.

3. Completely mishandling? I think you do not know the scale of the country itself.

4. And somehow keep the bodies in ice-cream freezers was A-okay? US had dead bodies still lying around in trucks after almost an year. Lastly, I have lived in that part of the UP ie Prayagraj. Shallow graves and disposing dead bodies in water is a norm that I have seen before too as a custom. I used to live in Naini area for few years and river is close by actually. We used to see people disposing dead bodies there. The pandemic made it bigger for more people were dying.

The single biggest point that you are missing here is, that India WAS able to vaccinate its old and weak. My parents got vaccinated way before I got access to vaccines in Canada. And yes Indian vaccines : AstraZenca and Bharat Biotech had been decently effective. Sinopharma and CanSino showed what substandard vaccines look like.
