Considering the ongoing issues and debates, I maintain that no new provinces of any sort will be established in Pakistan until the PPP and PML-N are in power. Nonetheless, this time, local government institutions will be granted some constitutional protection, along with a few powers and financial resources to operate effectively. Additionally, the NFC award will be equitably balanced between the provinces and the federal government. This represents the extent of the modifications. However, Islamabad may potentially become a province or a self-governing capital territory.
