There's a difference between a legal entity, and historical fact.

India is a country created in 1947,
Fact.
It was accorded assessor state status, with the objections of Pakistan. Successor state does not mean the same thing,
Fact.
(Loosely speak, this is the nation state version of a "Legal heir status", where a person dies, and the debt and obligations are passed on, but both remain different entities)
The same logic applies to inheritor state status. People here are not understanding the correct context, parroting silly understandings, nitpicking sentences out of context and behaving like children. Clearly i'm not referring to you.

No one here is denying that India was created out of thin air based on an artificial imposed identity of the 'Indian'. Apart from this artificial identity which literally translates as not-PakistanI, there's nothing nation about India.

But this newly created artificial state of India inherited all legal and political baggage of British India. It is infrastructurally same as British India, a colonial entity.

No one is opposed to the concept of more efficient and manageable administrative units. The question is about the manner in which it is done and the motivation behind it.

Here is something for our fajueet friends :

How about Munir Saab and his men resign from the army/ government positions, form a political party, install a neutral caretaker government, organize a free election without establishment inteference and campaign on the issue of smaller provinces and efficient governance.

If they can win such a free election and can muster a 2/3rds majority in the national and provincial assemblies, they are free to follow the Constitutional process to reorganize the provinces.

They really need to boot out PPP from Sindh.

KPK and Balochistan has a societal issue which will take decades to resolve but Sindh has the most potential. More potential than Punjab but its just so badly managed.

Port Qasim must be liberated.

Also JUI must be purged, there should be no scope for talibanization in Pakistani politics or any divisive sectarian or extremist identity politics.
