" On 3 October 1950, China attempted to warn the US, through its embassy in India, it would intervene if UN forces crossed the 38th parallel. The US did not respond as policymakers in Washington, including Truman, considered it a bluff.

On 15 October Truman and MacArthur met at Wake Island. This was much publicized because of MacArthur's discourteous refusal to meet the president in the contiguous US. To Truman, MacArthur speculated there was little risk of Chinese intervention in Korea, and the PRC's opportunity for aiding the KPA had lapsed. He believed the PRC had 300,000 soldiers in Manchuria and 100,000–125,000 at the Yalu River. He concluded that, although half of those forces might cross south, "if the Chinese tried to get down to Pyongyang, there would be the greatest slaughter" without Soviet air force protection.

Meanwhile on 13 October, the Politburo decided China would intervene even without Soviet air support, basing its decision on a belief superior morale could defeat an enemy that had superior equipment. To that end, 200,000 Chinese People's Volunteer Army (PVA) troops crossed the Yalu into North Korea.

After crossing the Yalu River on 19 October, the PVA 13th Army Group launched the First Phase Offensive on 25 October, attacking advancing UN forces near the Sino-Korean border. "

My Motherland

Lyrics by Qiao Yu; Melody by Liu Zhi

"A big river with wide waves

Wind blows rice flowers to spread fragrance across the banks.

My family lives on the shore,
Got used to the chant of steersmen, and
to seeing white sails on board

This is a beautiful country
Is the place where I grew up.
In this vast land
Beautiful scenery everywhere

Girls are like flowers
Young men have broad mind and shoulders,
In order to break new ground
Wake up the sleepy mountain
Let the rivers change their appearance

This is the heroic country
Is the place where I grew up,
In this ancient land
The strength of youth everywhere

Good mountains, good water, good places
All roads are wide and spacious
if friends come, there is a good wine
If jackal has come, it is greeted with hunting gun

This is a powerful country
Is the place where I grew up,
In this land of warmth,
Peaceful sunshine everywhere"

During the whole Korean war, US enjoyed aboslute air superiority and Chinese troops could only operate at night and hide in the caves and forests during the day. Most Chinese casualties were suffered from the constant bombing from the above.
Now China enjoys clear fire power and air superiority over US in the West Pacific region.

Mao Zedong once said that his son, Lieutenant Ma Anying, was just an ordinary soldier among all the warriors who had sacrificed in Korea and he should be buried with his comrades in a cemetery, and the North Korean government should not build a separate grave and monument for him.

Now it appears that these North Koreans did not listen to Mao Zedong's instructions.

It's just the pseudo-United Nations Army. The real American and the armies of the American vassal states.

LOL! What would have made it not a pseudo-United Nations Army in your eyes?

Usually this means every country on the planet has to unanimously agree with what China thinks....

Americans can recognize the legitimacy of the United Nations in 1950. But from the Chinese perspective, it is a pseudo-United Nations.

The will certainly not recognize the legitimacy of an international organization without the participation of the Chinese government. Is this difficult to understand?

Let me say it again, we defeated the troops of the States and its vassal countries, not the legitimate United Nations troops.
