what a bunch of baboons !

that destroyer was all over the Western news media and actually it looked good

I guess there will be mass executions for this one

Dear Leader issued an order that the boat is to be refloated before some upcoming conference in June (read it in some article. Will locate and reference). Might be difficult depending on how much salt water entered the interior.

Salt water plays hell on a lot of things.

No doubt a lot of people have already been executed over this.
As of today.

The three persons primarily responsible for the accident have been detained.
Kang Jung-chul, Chief Engineer of Cheongjin Shipyard, Han Kyung-hak, Director of the Hull Assembly Workshop, and Kim Yong-hak, Deputy Director of Administration. They are currently detained and under legal investigation and have not been executed.

No other damage was found to the destroyer involved in the accident, and the on-site repair team is carrying out repair operations as planned.

We know North Korea. It is only a matter of time before they find themselves infront of a firing squad. Lets not kid ourselves here.
This accident was announced to the outside world on the initiative of the DPRK officials. At the same time, they are following up on the progress of the incident. So far, no one has been executed. They are currently following their legal procedures.

North Korea is a special country. They are slowly changing. When they start to come forward with these issues, it shows that things are moving in a more open direction.

Each country has its own laws and rules. We cannot measure others by our own standards.

I'm sure satellite surveillance of North Korea "helped" push that announcement.

Now the ship was finally launched and float in water.

The destroyer, which had previously been involved in an accident during its launch ceremony, has now been repaired. The DPRK held another launching ceremony for it.

The second ship of the Choi Hyun-class destroyers, it was named “Kang Kon.” Hull number: 52

Kang Kon. He was the first Chief of the General Staff of the DPRK. He and Choi Hyun were early revolutionary comrades of Kim Il-sung. He was killed in action during an air raid in September 1950 during the Korean War, becoming the highest-ranking military officer to die in the Korean War. He was also a member of the CCP.

They have started using better cameras, until recently everything looked like the 80s in every picture

The efficiency for repairing and relaunching the ship is very impressive. Unlike the Indian, it took them several months to put the flipped ship up inside the shipyard.

Kim Jong-un commended officers and soldiers of the DPRK People's Army's overseas combat units.
This included 101 DPRK People's Army soldiers who died while supporting special operations.
