Old Man's Corners

Yard is coming along.

But having more fun walking FIVE cats around the block this evening. Three are mine. Two joined us tonight. Another one or two, watching, waiting to join.

One followed all the way back. Making himself at home under my house.

Will let my cats decide who stays and who goes.

Took in a Russian Blue 5-6 week old stray kitten last August. Now letting him outside.

This breed is very sociable, I read.

An understatement. Ivan been outside since Monday and made at least four new friends. Now has these strays following me along with him on our walks.

This breed, Russian Blue, is an ideal breed for older folks. Fun. Wants attention. Loves to nap with their human companion. Very loyal.

Friday the 13th is a widely recognized Western superstition where the 13th day of a month falls on a Friday, often considered a day of bad luck or misfortune. Rooted in Christian traditions (13 guests at the Last Supper, Crucifixion on Friday) and Norse mythology, it occurs at least once a year.

Just need to build the door, complete a little bit of finish trim, then it will be ready for primer and paint. At the moment, that won't stop me from moving boxes and totes being stored at a rental property. Have a couple heavy duty tarps that can be tacked up to keep the weather out.

For someone who has been up on a roof more times than I can remember, I decided yesterday I probably shouldn't be doing that any more.

Oh, and I saw the post about rats. Yes, I do plan on pavers around it. Also, one other trick. A couple bag of mothballs underneath it. Mothballs are very effective at keeping vermin out. Worked well when we had bees in the water meter at the old house.

Excellent job!

Don't forget to fill in the cracks in the trim before painting.
