Old Man's Corners

Enjoy the grandkids while they are young.

For several summers, every Tuesday, Grandpa will hire me to do the yardwork.

I get busy, mowing his yard. Everywhere where crops not growing. Like to finish the day up by the milk house.

After about an hour, Grandpa will tell me to turn off the mower and enjoy a glass of lemonade on the back porch.

Got the job done. Didn't have to work hard. Twenty bucks a week back in the 70s, for a kid, was good money.
All you guys are very lucky to have grand kids

I pull up to my house and there are two people out front taking selfies and like glamour shots with my house as the background. Some woman was dressed up and had like a feather in her hair. Even when I pulled by them to go up the driveway they didn't even flinch or miss a beat.

Dafuq?

I walk back down the driveway (not with a mad look..but more curious) as if to go into the front door and stopped like 6 feet from them with a puzzled look on my face and they were doing all these quick different angle poses with smiles and then hurried off. They didn’t even glance at me. I never saw them before and they being dressed much more nicer than usual didn’t seem like locals. They looked like they were dressed up to go to some formal or something but they weren't teens. I'd say about age 30.

It was just one of the weirdest things.

It’s not like my neighborhood is a block from the center of town. I’m deep in the neighborhoods away from everything. I do live near a snooty golf course and they did look like they were dressed up for one of its events but the clubhouse is way way on the other side and they didn't look like the types to be hauling their butts up and down 2 miles of greens just to go exploring.

Maybe undercover FBI  Have to keep my PDF posting in-line. Let them know about those "Pakistanis"

Mine are doing well. Grandson is getting his act together. #1 granddaughter is awaiting acceptance into her nursing program. Meanwhile, she's a department manager at Home Depot.

#2 granddaughter called us last night. Besides lot of new IATA codes, she's learning jet lag is a real thing.

Cannot think of the plant they may be looking for this time of year.

Some can make a few hundred dollars just exploring.

A fan wearing a Matt Chapman jersey was spotted trying to buy a beer from one of Comerica's roving vendors ... using a McLovin ID. There are layers to this stunt that you just can't make up.
