Such a lovely thread.

I’ll share a memory that may be only relevant to a subset of Pakistani or Indian posters, and that too of a certain age.

Back in the mid 70s I, an Indian army brat, was living in a cantonment town close to out western border. That was a time when there was maybe one TV in the officers’ club. And that antenna based system would occasionally catch PTV signals from across the border. PTV, we felt, was so ahead of us in its programming. Incidentally Indian TV remained crap for a very long time.

PTV used to show these American series, the most popular one being The Six Million Dollar Man. Every weekend the units’ kids used to cluster around that set, twisting the antenna this way or that, hoping to catch a scene or two.

In our young minds that show acquired legendary status. And over one or two years none of us even managed to see as much as an episode. 😂

I have always wondered if there was an army brat on the Pakistani side watching Six Million Dollar Man.
