A disproportionate response is against the UN laws. You cannot execute killer + some more and back it up. Yes, no one will raise a voice for Afghans, but these things will be a sore point in negotiations. Also, ISPR statements are not for public appeasement but meant for a tangible policy.
A better statement could be that "We deserve the right to take out perpetrators who are responsible for the killing of innocent civilians in mosques and civilian places. What TTP has done is against international law, Islam and Pakthoon own values"

Can we kill 50 k for 500 losses (inhumane)? Can he materialise that (capacity issue and thus raises non-seriousness)? Can he squeeze air for india if it blocks our water (which india is doing)?
Therefore, he should give just policy statements and no political rhetoric.
 
It is just pathetic to hear these sort of news that there are still vast quantities of weapons deports still intact in A-Stan.

Why in the world would you name an ethnicity when discussing the TTP at an international statement? Literally the worst thing you could ever do.

Also, as long as you are not hitting civilian targets, your response can be whatever you deem it to be.

I don't know why you're treating UN laws like they are some gospel to live by anyway, calm down, its made by some foreigners at a table. Putting yourself in imaginary chains at their whims is nothing less than mental slavery.

i have spent past two day fighting pakistanis and yookaystanis on twitter/insta that we did not kill 400 civilians .
be prepared for this warfare .
 
Following a white man's UN rulebook on how to fight wars like it's a respectful game of ping pong is not gonna get you anywhere against a tribal group that thinks suicide bombings, beheadings, and killing civilians is a source of pride and relishing in it.

I'm sorry to say but some suggestions being given here are so out of touch with actual ground reality and how deterrence really works that it just sounds hilariously clownish at best, or cowardice at the worst.

This does not in any way mean you need to go on a civilian killing rampage, far from it, but talking about 1 hit for 1 proportionality like it is ping pong is insane. You play according to what realistically works on the ground based on the enemy's psychology, that's the whole point of cost imposition.

We will just kill 1 Taliban for 1 of ours, I am super duper sure that this is the greatest strategy on Earth and the greatest deterrence ever. War will be over in a day. It will also make negotiations super easy I heard, we killed 1 taliban that's amazing leverage 😍

This was the strategy of Vlad the Impaler against the ottomans. He was the Ruler of a relatively small Kingdom called Wallachia in modern day Romania, around 1440s. AD.

Something along the lines of this should be the offfical statement given to international media explaining the conflict:

Afghanistan after a long period of civil wars and instability finally has a chance to choose peace and development for its own people, instead of war and aggression.

Unfortunately, the Taliban regime is once again adopting the age-old dangerous policies of previous rulers of aggression and illegal expansionism towards Pakistan. One major way being through the active sustainment of terrorist proxy groups such as the TTP & BLA.

Pakistan will not allow any harm to its civilians to come from the Taliban regime & its supporters, and it reserves the right to defend itself.
