If people in the south west want to continue enjoying living standards akin to afghanistan, that's their decision. Keep up with the killings, robberies, and extortion of your own ethnic kin and you'll get it.
Put a ring around those regions, isolate and contain them and the rest of the country will move forward regardless. If ethno-centrists persist on self victimization, their regions will become just like the native american reservations, and they've done it to themselves.

I went to KPK in 2022 for a short visit pre IK ouster and was harassed by the police in Hayatabad who accused me of carrying drugs solely because I was driving alone and had a Nicop . I had to call in a military friend to have things moving along and then have the local SHO apologize to me.
My experience does not correlate to your claim.
Now, did I have or could I have similar experience in Karachi or Islamabad? Yes - I had a similar issue on the turn coming in from the airport in Isb which is notorious for the picket basically looking to rob passengers and I had my wife and child with me - what I had done to those men is a different story but again got the military involved which is also wrong because the military should not be immune to the law or above it - but that is the system

PTI definitely had good people and they tried to bring change but their leadership screwed up and just like PML(N) and PPPP fell afoul of the OG thugs and just like those parties claimed injustice(rightly so).
But that has NOTHING to do with the actual performance PTI gave based on both its pre election and in power claims regardless of factors involved because if there was some grand conspiracy by the establishment who supported PTI to have it fail from day 1 then PTI were incompetent suckers for it - and if there was no conspiracy until xyz happened and PTI delivered rivers of milk and honey then what happened to all those rivers of milk and honey suddenly?
If they did the best they could WHICH WAS BETTER than other parties but they could not make people attached or remember it beyond a month of agitation against the existing system - then they are still failures for not having any idea on how to actually bring change for the countrymen they claim to represent or know about.
After all, even prophets were told to leave people who did not want change - or they understood their people and scenarios enough to know how to incite change.
The khilafat movement led millions of muslims to an eventual kicking out by the Afghans and while the British saw millions of muslims move - it really did not do anything to their system.
It took a lawyer who spent little time self aggrandizing but understood the system to play it and use it to get you a country.
Since you didn’t change the system - perhaps focus on changing it from within with an actual plan instead of looking for conspiracies or excuses by comparison - might actually get Tabdeeli.
Otherwise - bringing in PTI performance or otherwise on what is fundamentally an issue of a belligerent neighbor well before Imran Khan was even conceived is plain waste of time and bandwidth

Nothing to do with you. Hayatabad was almost like a stronghold of such people. Many afghans rented houses there, because it was posh area so they didn't faced much issues running their operations from there. Drug smugglers and kidnappers. Many kidnapped people were later recovered from bungalows in hayatabad. Many houses raded had lots of weapons and drugs recovered. You have to consider the location of that area as well.
That is the first and closest proper settlement with afghan border. Smuggling of drugs, weapons, even cars is a major issue. Kidnapping is another.
Now I dont know how was your experience. But even I will face this situation in hayatabad if I am in GLI or a similar car , alone.
