The deal is vital for Pakistan and the Muslim world, it's just the beginning
Why should we send Pakistani personnel to protect them and die for them. And Saudis don’t do their part?

Please discuss elsewhere..We should leave this defence deal joke
No lip service. Send us Saudi military equipment and personnel.
I went to KPK in 2022 for a short visit pre IK ouster and was harassed by the police in Hayatabad who accused me of carrying drugs solely because I was driving alone and had a Nicop . I had to call in a military friend to have things moving along and then have the local SHO apologize to me.IF you go to KPK and gets stuck in a serious situation the KPK police would help you if not them the locals would help you
If you go to Balochistan and gets stuck in a serious situation (I dunno your ethnicity) though BLA kills and slaughters anyone and everyone apart from Baloch then neither the ninja police will help nor the locals baloch heck they will capture and turn you over to the BLA fanatics at that point just pray that your death is painless
compare the first and second situation you can gauge the type of governance and emphaty of local people and the police
What happens if you leave it?We should leave this defence deal joke

Nothing to do with you. Hayatabad was almost like a stronghold of such people. Many afghans rented houses there, because it was posh area so they didn't faced much issues running their operations from there. Drug smugglers and kidnappers. Many kidnapped people were later recovered from bungalows in hayatabad. Many houses raded had lots of weapons and drugs recovered. You have to consider the location of that area as well.
That is the first and closest proper settlement with afghan border. Smuggling of drugs, weapons, even cars is a major issue. Kidnapping is another.
Now I dont know how was your experience. But even I will face this situation in hayatabad if I am in GLI or a similar car , alone.

I'm not disputing that KP police made real progress in some areas. But citing the area's crime history as an explanation for an attempted extortion attempt just confirms my original point: the corruption and bribery cycle that plagues policing across Pakistan didn't magically disappear in KP but it did get better PR.
not really, if you read pakistan history such tactics have been used beforeIf that's the case then we are already doomed.
PTI lives rent free in the heads of fauj-eets. Even as dozens of soldiers die (and this is only what ISPR is willing to admit), their mind is fixated on PTI and Imran Khan.
It comes from a mental illness that resides within the military and it's die-hard supporters. That they will blame everything and anything under the sun but themselves. It is NEVER their fault or their incompetence but always the work of some unseen hand, either India/Israel/PTI and down the road it'll be some other political party.
They do not stop and think WHY everyone speaks against them because they cannot entertain a reality where the military is in the wrong. In their minds they have fully justified the army running the country and hijacking every other institution as the only way forward.
At this point it's like an unspoken law on this forum. If he has a Markhor profile pic, he's probably a dimwit.
By the way, are you even a son of a Fauji? Or are you a bloody civilian? Do you even have a plot in DHA?
