not necessarily, SCALP has a IIR seeker under the nose cone. The nose cone is jettisoned only in the terminal phasebut EO/IIR are always visible
Is it just me or the missile looks too bulky? like as compared to the scalp its huge...
Maybe we are using less efficient turbines, bulky batteries and what not???
in the start of video its seeker is cover as @Bilal already said . also other members also highlight itApologies if it came across the wrong way. Let’s keep the discussion technical.
Ra’ad has a conventional nose radome profile. It does not show an EO/IR-style seeker window at the tip like the Taimur which has been seen with an optical dome. That points to a different terminal guidance approach and different target engagement.
Its More important comparing how many fins it has with raadwese guys US attacked Venezuela View attachment 169553
i checked and there are more members here than a thread about an active war![]()

source code of what?we don't have the source code , so cant do it without China .
What I meant was, considering Dr Samar’s interview to be true. Maybe in the earlier versions it was covered by nose cone , which would jettison off near target to expose the EO seeker.in the start of video its seeker is cover as @Bilal already said . also other members also highlight it
helps that we can modify mirage without outside helpMay not be a question of "why not JF-17", I think we have special Mirages rigged up for such tests (with monitoring equipment, cameras etc). If this was a test to check the actual missile, integration tests with different aircraft may well come later
Don’t know if it’s wired to launch or WiFi/tablet interface.helps that we can modify mirage without outside help
got it janab in the start of the video it was coveredWhat I meant was, considering Dr Samar’s interview to be true. Maybe in the earlier versions it was covered by nose cone , which would jettison off near target to expose the EO seeker.
In Taimoor, the cover is removed right before the aircraft takeoff, probably manually.
