PAF Future Acquisition Plans

If Chinese 'investments' in Southeast Asia are anything like they've been in Pakistan, then it's an excellent strategy for destroying those economies. Brilliant way of defeating your potential rivals. 100%.
Southeast Asian countries are enjoying rapid economic growth and continuous improvements in people’s living standards, with per capita GDP levels two to three times higher than Pakistan’s, while Pakistan is left with poverty, backwardness, and endless complaints.

BTW, Pakistan has a trade surplus with the USA, and among the USA's imports from Pakistan is steel. How much steel does China import from Pakistan?

Or is our steel too Muslim for you?
yes. Built by China.

Sell steel to the world's largest steel producer. Why not export oil to Saudi Arabia?

Then what are you doing here? Taking our complaints to CCP ?

1 Chinese-invested plant that's re-exporting back to China. Which is it?

And what proof do you have that it's that plant that's exporting to the US? Or is that your new strategy now, taking credit for others' work?

A large share of China’s manufacturing industry is shifting to Southeast Asian countries, and Southeast Asia has also become one of the most dynamic regions in the global economy. Countries like Pakistan should think about how to improve their governance, education, healthcare, culture, and public security to catch up with Southeast Asia. Perhaps then they could attract more Chinese investment. Investment is always drawn by a country’s own potential, not by pleading or complaining.
Pakistan loses $10-12 billion dollars to IPPs each year + it has essentially destroyed the Pakistani energy sector, entirety of CPEC was not "investment" It was loans, Pakistan has lost far more then it has gained from "Chinese investment".

If the Chinese weren't so short sighted with their money grabbing they could have had serious economic power that could keep India off it's back.

Again, the point is: persuade your government and leaders not to beg China for technology, investment, loans, or anything else, all right?

Your president, prime minister, and speaker of the National Assembly all visited China one after another in the first half of 2026. It seems their views are quite different from yours.

Not like they have a choice anymore, debt trap remember?

when half of every rupee collected in tax goes to xi's cronies pockets, i cant help but wonder why...

From a global perspective, the industrial sectors in both Pakistan and India are in poor condition. Their economies are too fragile. They heavily rely on foreign investment and technology. They lack independent industrial capabilities or have a single industry. Their societies are unstable. There are rebellions and uprisings... All these seriously hinder economic development.

When one lacks the ability, it is indeed useful to shift the responsibility onto others and divert the conflict.
