I don't know anything about that, though Sheikh Rasheed's media interview claiming 25 aircraft may have added to confusion.

I asked DCAS(Ops) regarding statement of CAS from a couple years ago about "groundwork has been laid for induction of 5th gen in PAF" and he gave me these numbers.

I actually asked him again whether 36 is number for J-10 and 40 for J-35. He said it is the other way around. Now, it wasn't a formal statement so that is why I am myself waiting for some evidence of a deal to surface.
But I am hopeful to see 40 J-10C in PAF in a year or so.

Well for that matter I have over the years stated here plainly that I knew about 3 Chinese stealth aircraft back from 2011 from a former CPD JF-17.

Now that he’s still in trouble for other reasons altogether has nothing to do with me

However, I do suggest @HemlockKhalid/AeronautIR to be aware of ambitious Air Intel and other idaray fellows looking to land some cherries and paint an entire story altogether.

Let's just say hypothetically that a secret deal was signed for a follow on order during PM Shehbaz Sharif's visit to China on 4 June 2024, China could produce 10 J-10Cs in 2025 and another 10 in 2026.

But that's if a deal has already been signed.

I appreciate the concern brother, though I used to sign Official Secret Act every year and wouldn't have said a word if it was secret or not true.
Now, before I am called an ex serviceman pompous prick by someone, kindly guide me if it is against the rules of the forum.

Of course, just like PAF claims are not true because you were not provided with imagery...
CAS lies, DCAS (Ops) lies, ACM(R) Sohail Aman lies but not you who only knows to insult others because there is nothing else you can say.
And I have said before, nobody owes you an explanation if you don't answer questions yourself. If you have memory issues, see my last post where I asked you something.
Otherwise, only talk to me when you become a big shot to prove or disprove me from your sources.
I will tell you more once you stop yapping about satellite imagery and crying it's all fake.

Is there a trend not to read previous posts? I will repeat it again.
PAF has plans for 2 sqn each of J-10C and J-35. Now, I don't know about the timeline for it but I am hoping to see an evaluation of J-35 by PAF in 2026.
