The guy being interviewed is retired Air Commodore Khalid Chishti.

He has his own YouTube channel and normally claims he has exclusive access to Pakistan Air Force, therefore, to some he's considered as an unofficial PAF mouthpiece.

On J-35, he says the following:

• PLAAF has not inducted J-35 yet.
• J-35 is going through the last stage of trial and evaluation of its production (choice of engines and missiles are being finalised).
• Pakistan has not agreed to purchase any J-35s while the aircraft is going through trials and evaluations.
• Pakistan will consider J-35 for purchase once all the different weapons have gone through test-firing and it's actual performance is reviewed against what is claimed to be it's performance.
• Pakistan is currently at wait and see stage

Deal already made jets will arrive soon. The denial which came by Khawaja Asif he has backed off from that denial. The main issue was HQ 19 and KJ 500 deal which wasn't supposed to be announced which this Government ended up doing.

It's not like Pakistan is going to put an order for 100 J-35. More like 32 at first.

If China is able to take annual production to 100 J-35 per year by 2027. It can start exporting 6-7 out of those 100 produced per year to Pakistan. Will still fulfill our order for 32-36 jets in 4-6 years starting 2027.

I mean it's possible and doable. Won't have to wait for 2030 to start receiving them. Just saying that the voices which are expecting deliveries soon may have some truth to them. But I do agree nothing till first half of 2026 is possible.

Max we will order 2 + squadrons means 40 total.

We are part of the thing for really long time. You think we have send our pilots to train on untested system? Our whole batch is there getting training? For what they are being trained for?

Hi, the J35 has been in development for a long time and evolved from the prototype of the FC-31.

Moreover, the PAF needs to induct and get experience with a stealth aircraft to stay ahead of the curve and integrate its learning into the PFX project. I am guessing the PAF was probably involved in customizing the J35 it will be receiving and involved in the specifications.

Kindly please remember that it was these same untested systems called the JF-17, J-10CE, and Link17 (Pakistan developed) that took down the mighty Rafale. The video below is more for laughs...

Sorry, but it seems you may have misunderstood here. Irrespective of him translating for Deng. He was at the UN on behalf of China for 6 years. Of course this does not make him an expert on military affairs, but it will give him good insights into the Pak-China relationship, and I would argue better insights then you or anyone else on this forum

I must clarify your misunderstanding of him. Gao Zhikai is not the Chinese representative to the United Nations. His job at the United Nations is that he is employed by the United Nations Secretariat as a translator. He is not a staff member of the Chinese delegation to the United Nations, let alone the Chinese representative to the United Nations.
His resume is extremely misleading. The so-called "Deng Xiaoping translator" is an extremely hypocritical position he self-proclaimed. The truth is that he is just an ordinary employee of a translation team of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that specializes in serving Deng Xiaoping. That translation team has as many as dozens of people;
The so-called work at the United Nations means that he was employed by the United Nations Secretariat as an ordinary translator and has nothing to do with the Chinese delegation to the United Nations.
As for the rest of his resume, they are all about private think tanks and enterprises. He is no more representative than any other Chinese citizen.
I think his main job is selling alcohol on Douyin. Otherwise, why would such a successful person sell alcohol on Douyin?

As explained by others: No-one in the Pakistani leadership said thsi and even more so NEVER with a specific date … and now we have the confirmation NOT EVEN A DEAL IS SIGNED by the former Air Commodore and the denials by the current Defence Minister and still you stick to what fan-boys say?

I slowly think this Constantin ignorace of facts and sticking to hopes is no longer ridicolous or even pathetic, but pathological!!

BHAI was it me which announced that Pakistan Air Force will induct J 35? No it was the Air Chief himself in an open ceremony. Have I made this announcement pretty much in every second video on PAF official YouTube channel, no PAF does it. The only question to debate was the time line. My time line since Air Chief first announced it was end of 2026 start of 2027. Deino and NGAD kept saying 2030. My argument was that PAF chief won't announce a future induction so early, therefore the timeline which made sense was end of 2026 and start of 2027. Than came Indo Pakistan clash and since than social media and some news outlets claim that Pakistan will get J 35 in next few months and I think it could be true although I think it would be end of this year or start of next and no it won't be 30 Air Crafts at once but two or three Air Crafts than more will keep coming. And yes we can get J 35 before PLA Air Force does because unlike J 20 this one China wants to export and it won't get exported until it gets battle proven which we are dam good at doing. Also next round between India and Pakistan or let say next few rounds are inevitable.

Couple of things to keep in mind...... 1 )PLAAF was more into J 20 ...2) J 35 was kept in the back burner......but the J 35 program was still slugging it out ....now , the question is why so when it has no obvious buyer ? .....answer is simple , it was PAF who was pushing her development and giving the necessary inputs ......J 35 in all probability will be inducted in PAF at roughly the same time as in a PLAAF if not earlier ....I will , without any hesitation, disregard all the comments of self claimed and PDF glorified Chinese, Pakistanis and other experts .....have a nice day

It had no obvious buyer because only now it's fully ready and only few months back entered mass production.
