PAF J-35AE - News, Updates and Discussions

Just like J10CEs contract, PAF is gonna wait for what IAF shapes up into in the next couple of years before it fully proceeds with J-35 or another major upgrade platform, and that largely depends on what platforms the Indians induct in panic mode, including air defense units.

J-35s can wait. IAF cannot challenge PL15E in air combat today or anytime soon. So that take cares of them gaining air superiority.

PAF will focus more on AD this year and next.

Where there's smoke there's fire ....

So this can't just be fanboys wish... PAF was upto something, might they achieved what they want ... ...
Now want to wait and see for time like they wait for J10 to get mature take shape of J10C , similarly may be they want to wait for J35B.....

For rumors that were created given 2 mojar edges to PAF.....

First US on table for upgrade of F16 with additional unit.....

Secondly and the most prominent advantage ... they confused the Indian specially IAF , now they are in panic mood for there on inductions and don't know the reality of news and timelines if PAF induction in on board........

Why have we stopped further procurement of Block 3s? Given the decades long hype of Block 3 and now we stop at 26 units?
23 units ... so far.

Pakistan currently operates 154 JF-17 Thunders in total.
  • 106 of them are Blocks 1 & 2 Alphas.
  • 25 Block 2 Bravos.

When the Block 1 & 2 Alphas retire, they might be replaced by Block-3 Alphas. That might keep the production lines busy well into the 2050s even if further Blocks are not produced. 🤔

This theory makes zero sense. My guess is that they’re probably waiting for some sort of pending to-dos on Chinese engines from Chinese side.

We still have the PGs and mirages to be replaced.

It is OK.
If I post this on my own Twitter account and then paraphrase it back to the PDF, will it be more credible than if I posted it directly on the PDF????

This is a very strange phenomenon.
But if J-35As are not coming to PAF then it's irrelevant if it's WS-21 or WS-19.
With the current info, the J-35A is definitely not coming to PAF. but the FC-31/J-35 will.
Of course, if you'd rather call the J-35 the J-35A, it doesn't matter.
Whats the reason for not availability of ws19 for expert
The WS-19 is not for sale. What reason do you need?

j35?Is J35 the naval shipborne version? Or rather the foreign trade version

off topic but it's fking beautiful.
I always feel that the J35 has a fuller visual experience than the J35A Air Force model. From a combat perspective, there is no J20 in the distant sea, and the J35 shipborne version needs to stand alone.

The J-35 series of fighters are named in such a way that the suffix letters correspond to the individual variants for different purposes.

The Navy version of the J-35 is not currently an official/production version. It currently uses the WS-21 engine. The naval version of its target engine, the WS-19, has yet to make its maiden flight. Therefore, it is currently officially referred to as the “J-35海军舰载版”. The suffix will be officially awarded when the naval version of the J-35 (WS-19) makes its maiden flight.

CATIC hints that the foreign trade version of the J-35 series of fighters still uses the code “FC-31”. However, this has not been formalized. The In order to avoid controversy and misunderstanding, I usually use the combination code “FC-31/J-35” to indicate the foreign trade version of J-35. For the J-35 Navy shipboard version, we usually use the full designation.

JF-17 bblock-1/2 is already replaced F-7P and for mirages J-10C is the answer
F7 are replaced F7P are still in used in limited numbers..

Mirages 3 and 5 numbers are still more 100 actively... These numbers of J10C affordability not easy ..

We cant reduce our numbers of jets as our numbers mostly revolve around 400s

Block 1 and 4 most probably replaced with PFX , and if it Don't work out like project AZM then block 4 definitely on cards (with minor improvement like engine, radar, weapon specially Turkish and avionics maybe)

If I'm not mistaken, PAF leadership said they want to maintain a combat fleet of 400 fighter aircraft.

We currently have a total of 229 JF-17 Thunders and F-16s.

If those numbers don't increase, we might end up with 171 J-10s like PAF ended up with around 190 Mirages.
