Pakistan-Af: Operation Khyber Storm

The problem with all this is that the conflict between Pakistan and the TTP is one of ideology, it's not like the Kashmir issue which is predominantly about land. And as history has shown, it's extremely difficult to defeat an ideology. The TTP want to create an "Islamic state", as they see it, in Pakistan, much like that Taliban have done in Afghanistan. Clearly the gamble to support the Taliban as a way to cancel the threat in that region has not paid off, because both the Taliban and TTP share the same ideology and therefore are natural allies. Of course, the major irony in all this is the hindutva indians cosying up to their own sworn enemy in the form of extremist jihadis as a way to bleed Pakistan...quite a mess.

The TTP can go to Hindustan and Afghanistan to create their envisaged state. Pakistan doesn't want TTP style state. The people of Pakistan have rejected the TTP. We know how Islamic bacha baz TTP are.

you would be shocked at how many Pakistanis support Taliban , mullahs have ruined our country

There is a segment of society. Nevertheless, it is time to reprogram Pakistanis. The division is not doing any good. This is the responsibility of the state, but we all know how incompetent the leaders are. When you lack unity the enemies are bound to benefit.

Some of our army's generals are also involved in resettling ttp in kpk. They are also complicit so we should start killing them also???those are also not Pakistanis by this logic.

The generals had a policy where they hoped that treating these people like brothers, giving them space to live with their families, amongst a general conservative local population would calm them down and make them act like humans where maybe peace could be established

All the positive shit most idiots ask for, inclusive, positive, forgiving LETS JUST MOVE FORWARD

But these people, these afghans are in human, mindless creatures

So rather then take the opportunity, and moving forward with a open border, trade and friendship

We get the usual Afghan fassad and deshatgardi

We tried, it was a reasonable try

Now what??????

Do we keep trying to act like these savages are insane or do we finally say "fcuk it" and go after them all

Bomb their sanctuaries in Afghanistan and push out any Afghan or Afghan wannabe and get them all out

You are simply not going to make these jahils into decent people

There's still no verified information.
Let's see the blowback from this in the next couple of weeks.

India will open embassy, followed by consulates by the border for intelligence and "terrorism" training. Even if it wasn't true during the Republic, it'll be now. Pakistan is keep self checkmating itself.

Let's see how the Taliban handle this, as there's really no replacement for them unfortunately.

We can all agree, sh!t has hit the fan finally!!

Pakistan should bomb any terrorist infrastructure along Pakistan's borders that India sets up in Afghanistan, regardless of what labels India attaches to them...

Those locals are COMPLICIT, nor are they Pakistani why should we care about them when the openly support the terrorists?
So the questions that need to be asked and addressed are why and what drives them to support the TTP or other criminal groups and what can be done to stop this.

This isn’t limited to the TTP and KP - the same issues exist in Balochistan and don’t forget the local support MQM had and to a degree still has.

Massacring entire communities or demographic groups isn’t the answer, so what is?

Again, you can’t just bomb your way out of this (long term), unless you’re talking about genocide.

Notwithstanding that vaccination, rooted in science and reason, bears no likeness to whimsical undertakings such as waging wars or bombing foreign lands (upon mere allegations), the matter, in essence, concerns belief in democracy itself.... In any democratic system, Army generals hold no sway over foreign policy..... and the will of the majority, distasteful though it may be to some, must prevail n reign supreme...

Mere allegations? Can't have this discussion if you'll remain disingenuous.

The analogy stands perfectly. You are a country of conspiracy theorists and idiots ruled by their meaningless agendas. Foreign policy and warfare is not and cannot be decided by the majority. Otherwise you would've gone to war every other weekend, including against the US in 2001. The majority's only job is to elect after which it is the elected who decide. Or should we have held a referendum after May 7?

The efficacy of Military Ops Vs "talks" with the Afghans/Taliban has been established well over the past 25 years.

I understand, I get it

But their needs to be some rationality on their part also

And over 8 decades they haven't moved an inch from the time of IPI

It's the same endless victim complex mixed with on the ground colusion with enemies of Pakistan

If war happens and we are busy hitting India, these people will betray us like the betrayed the iranians

They give very very little to Pakistan, but any changes in their lives and locality will have to be funded by the rest of Pakistan

It's very difficult to establish infrastructure and get investment in areas where the locals are so backwards and violent

We have no other option. This is how it is set. If they aren't willing or able to fix it then we have to. It doesn't matter what they contribute to it. It is a) the State's responsibility and b) directly in the interest of the entire country. We must uplift these regions for the sake of the entire country or this will never stop. We must punish the adult who holds the gun and save the kid who has not yet. And make no mistake, that kid is the responsibility of the entire nation, not just his parents.

Extremely desperate for India to reach out to the Afghan Taliban after calling them 'terrorists' for decades. Who can forget the coverage of Afghanistan by the Indian media in 2021 until, ironically, on August 15, the Taliban were seen inside the corridors of power in Afghanistan? Then the Indian journalists, enjoying the umbrella of American protection for 20 years in Afghanistan, changed their tunes. And if August 15--the Indian Independence Day--was not a humiliation for India then on Sept. 6, which Pakistan calls its 'Defense Day', India's last hope in Afghanistan, the Lion of Panjsheer Valley also fell. Hahaha!!
The current stance of the Indian govt embracing the Taliban is substantially the same as it was of the Indian journalists in the Kabul of 2021!!

The indians are desperate, they have been on a bad run of late, hell since 2019 they have been humiliated a few times now by Pakistan and China with only mindless Indian fantasy left for Indians to cling to

The hindutva are a bad enough enemy for us, without being stuck with these useless afghans

What bad luck that we got stuck with these dangar

It seems we are back to 2010s era. Curse on those responsible for reversing the gains of Zarb e Azb - be it political hands or Generals.
Let's hope these political hands and/or Generals responsible for that strategic retreat face accountability.

Exactly what happened is unclear; BBC Afghan's correspondent saw no signs of an explosion in the suspected location of the blasts on Friday, but did report a heavy Taliban presence and mobile checkpoints.

What do you think is going on here?
