Pointless.

They do not recognize the very existence of Pakistan, thus to them these agreements are simply a way stave off pressure until they believe they're powerful enough to invade Pakistan. In their minds, these agreements are invalid.

Pakistan also knows this agreement won't last long.

This is a credibility building exercise to the international community: "Look, we signed peace deals and gave every alternative a chance but they violated it".

Essentially leaving no loose ends to put any blame. They just got done striking several cities, they definitely have no issue in doing so again. But this makes them look responsible.

Exactly this is what people who are suggesting the idea to occupy the territory in Afghanistan need to understand that "land will come the population who is uncivilized and uneducated with extreme racist cultural beliefs and practices"

For them Pakistani Pushtoon are "Gull Khan" and Punjabis are "Daal khor Kaliya"

So why take an unnecessary burden.
No ceasefire mark my words until the end of TTP we will continue attacks.

Corrupts are leading Pakistan to a disaster , we definitely need reform and democratisation. Can Pakistan withstand a 3 front attack ? What if Iran decides to join India and Afghanistan?

Iran won't, especially not on the side of Afghanistan.

The Iranians have realized that they only have one real good neighbor, and that's Pakistan. They wont sabotage that, not anymore, not after the war with Israel.

Please read this tweet 10 times...so understand that we are nuclear state and terms and condition are insult for us. " a joint mechanism, with the mediation of neutral countries". This show our weakness.

Afghans talk from their rear ends
Totally unreliable.
Due diligence is still required.
If Afghan says they won't invade, doesn't mean they wont.
Their king signed Durand like agreement with the British twice. They still crying about it. Then they claim "Pathann kii zabaan aik hoti hay " .

If I was a third party in the India-Pakistan conflict, all I know is I wouldn't want to get involved.

Because as soon as one side feels threatened, you'll be at risk of getting nuked and no ally is going to take a nuke to protect you.

Does Afghanistan or Iran want to risk being a big enough thorn in Pakistan's back during a war with India where it feels threatened? I'm sure the former is crazy enough to try it. But outcome will be catastrophic for them.

India may use Tajikistan as a transit route. They apparently have a lAF airbase there. Tajikistan may look the other way

Bro, don't worry, Munira and army knows all this better than us, Pak has to be diplomatic when so many brotherly countries are involved in this peace process. We all know Indian-paid khwarij will not stop their actions, and soon they will break the ceasefire, and army will be back to action, this time probably more brutal and with more intl' support.

Yk Pakeys are retarted when one guy is saying Pakistan bombed Afghanistan because of promises to trump not knowing that Afghan proxies were popping more than a dozen or so FC+Army men of ours a day
While the other wants to literally nuke a neighboring muslim country, not knowing that his country was built as a homeland for persecuted muslims, the nuclear program was financed as "Islamic" bomb
Same country whose whole PR is based on a Muslim identity have rabid nationalists calling for a nuclear holocaust
Our verbal diarrhea all over SM is putting even Indians to shame

It is a bunch of teenagers who haven't grown up from their street fights... who throw the words as meaningless gibberish... which in turn makes for a whole lot of a mumbo jambo... meaningless discourse... all they get is a dose of dopamine with lil post full with threats of a nuclear Armageddon and nothing short of that...

Where as what they're looking at is a fork in the road and a bumpy ride for a long long time. A pumped up and animated population that will either be pacified and deliver monopoly on violence to the sole institution. Another thing that is both good and bad... as it will become a baton in the hands of tyrant, deliver a period of prosperity or both.
It may also be the end of citizen soldier or volunteers for a cause... cause they were all burnt at the stake... duped one final time.

Hope, this is not what the discussion is about... babies with nukes here throw them as spit bombs ....

we have to set our priorities now. in past we supported talibans and ttp was the strongest faction of it , we thought taliban can control them but it was failure but india played double game on face they supported actual govt and propagtae their infrastructure investment while on the back they supported ttp while doing sp tbey continue to put blane on us. Now ISI should do something foroyr longterm interest . RAw is spreading like venom in our neighbourhood . something needs to be done

In my view, having listened to everyone’s opinions both here and elsewhere, this was meant to be a regime change operation. It’s highly likely that Trump was promised Bagram Airbase and access to Afghanistan’s rare minerals. Unfortunately for the planners, things didn’t go as planned and the Taliban survived.

Most probably, Turkey convinced both parties to step back and not take this any further. Now we can expect things to go back to normal. The Taliban may make some effort to get rid of any TTP/BLA operating in their country. Or let Pakistan do it. In return, Pakistan will allow trade as before. So, looks like we’re going to go back to the status quo.

People hoping for capturing Afghan territory or killing large numbers of people may be disappointed. I’m hoping that Trump doesn’t do to Sharif what he did to Modi once he finds out he isn’t getting the goodies he was promised.
Do you really think that regime change operations work like this? Are you really that naive?
USA itself couldn't overthrow Saddam even after bombing the shit out of Iraq during gulf war and then imposing no fly zones for decades. And here you thought just bcz we lobbed few bombs that our goal was regime change.
Impressive insight.
