If the people are ok with it and simply dont care - the kaila republic can keep on rolling

This not goona happen.... we are born with salve mentality ..... here's a perfect example.

"Trainers kept baby elephants bound from the beginning in the same chain that is difficult for him to break and stays in that chain for the rest of his life, even if in adulthood he can easily break this chain, but from the beginning he gets an impression that this chain is difficult that he can't break"

To not derail the thread further - Ill close with a great expression I heard today which applies perfectly to the Pakistani military.

There is a thin veneer of highly competent professionals that keep the electricity on for lights and the water drinkable for the entire organization. Remove them and the lights go off and the water goes brown.

Extensions poke holes in this veneer , and in the case of the Pakistani military with its already politically tainted and freefall merit situation it could permanently shut the lights off in many critical places and send the water brown - so what will remain will be dark corners and those that will drink the brown water and call it Rooh Afza just because their benefits(plots, commissions, etc) are coming in.

This is also why I despise people who use derogatory terms for the entire military because it harms those hyper competent professionals and many generally honest ones who either see a picture none of us do and try to work in their capacity to keep lights on or are simply honest people but still burdened by the same pressures of survival and society as every other tv lounge or online warrior who refuses to otherwise come out and make real change.

We should not diss people with good intentions even if that does mean that is the minimum bar because dismissal means those go away too but encouraging it means it might grow into something more no matter how much historical and character evidence we may have otherwise.

It wouldn't matter either way. The H-2/H-4 series is aging. The PAF is moving towards guidance kits it can configure onto the MK-8X-series GPBs.

In the old days, you couldn't do much with those PGB kits other than configure them with either INS/GNSS or SALH. However, we're starting to see dual-mode stacks that incorporate INS/GNSS plus both SALH and IIR. The rise of automation and AI/ML-driven smart guidance technology could also reduce the need for the man-in-the-loop.

The Denel (now EDGE) Tariq series is a good example of where you can take this approach:

REK seems to be the preferred product line - but they need to think more loitering, smaller warheads and more compact on the pylon.

They seem to prefer munitions with imaging capability for surgical strikes. They may have used the Baykar Kemankes in the recent air strike in Iran and the H4 in Swift Retort.

I think Baykar Kemankes is the sort of capability you are describing. Or a miniature Taimoor ALCM?

3. Why have they never been offered for export?
there isnt really a market- it was good for its time but its really no longer a great solution considering theres cheaper alternatives available and better ones, even at home- rek etc
