If there is one thing that PAF could learn from the Israeli Airforce, it is to have more 3 runway for its airbases.

They are much harder to take out given the redundancy. Most of the older PAF ones are single runway, newer ones are dual, but very few if any have 3.

With the advent of modern missiles like Brahmos, it is easier to take out a PAF airfield while repairs are done on the sole runway etc.

To some extent PAF tries to compensate by having the concept of Main Operating bases and Forward operating bases which Israel does not have the ability to to right now.

Anyway - very interesting article on this topic for the PAF.

Middle East & Africa

The Royal Saudi Air Force has deployed six Panavia Tornado fighter jets for the Indus Shield 2024 air exercise in Pakistan, where Turkey and Egypt also showcased their military capabilities and explored opportunities for enhanced cooperation. The drill allowed each nation to discuss and exchange best practices on the latest technologies, strategies, and operations.

Why did they even bother, prop trainers would have sufficed.

Tornado is an important strike asset for them, they want to train against different opponents, what is wrong with that? We sent Mirages to Jordan and Egypt for exercises, all units should benefit, They are a good ally.

Any update regarding further induction of J-10s?

My assumptions are that Pakistan will only acquire them as soon if and when India acquires further Rafales.
