Why so pessimistic? Trust the army to make the best out of a bad situation and it will all work out in the end. If this country was left to the squabbling politicans it would have folded decades ago.

Trust the people whose BEST recent accomplishments are real estate - this old tripe about squabbling politicians holds no ground anymore.

Plain and simple - the military is trained for a task and they are unqualified for ALL other avenues but have chosen to insert themselves in it. The political forces have been left to feudals or oligarchs while leaving the truly qualified educated middle class disenfranchised because they are the ones who ask both the elite in the political and military circles “what the hell are you doing “ and that makes the military mindset uncomfortable because they have been CONDITIONED from inception to follow and give orders and NOT HAVE IT QUESTIONED. The political forces can simply bide time by pretending to follow their guidelines or threatening them with poor masses on the streets which freaks the generals out.

So it’s a debate for another thread but there should be NO BLANKET TRUST in the military if Pakistanis were collectively a smart people - but not my problem anymore. Let’s leave it at that and focus on the thread
