Pakistan Air Force | News & Discussions

We have over 100 Mirages still needing replacement.

Over 50 J-7s.

Block 1 JF-17s that are nearing the end of their airframe life.

And now also the initial block F-16s.

That's going to cost a lot of money. And will probably be made of J-35s, J-10Cs, and JF-17 B3s. How long will it take, what's the target?
Yes mirages and F7p still need to be replaced, that will not easy and financially possible....

Lets see how long PAF can drag mirages....

F16 not going anywhere in near future...

PAF will found they way to extend the life of existing jets somehow specially for JF17 block one and F16s .. remember they are best in it .. lock at mirages rebuilds again and again

ISLAMABAD: Turkish Defence Minister Yaşar Güler has lauded the Pakistan Air Force's exceptional performance under the leadership of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu in the four-day war with India, commending its operational preparedness and resolute defence of national sovereignty.

A high-level delegation led by Güler called on Air Chief Marshal Sidhu during a visit to the Air Headquarters in Islamabad on Wednesday, the military’s media wing reported.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting covered discussions on evolving regional security dynamics, the progress of ongoing defence cooperation, and prospects for future collaboration in emerging domains of warfare.

During the meeting, the chief of the air staff highlighted the enduring brotherly ties between Pakistan and Turkiye, emphasising the common aspirations and strategic convergence that bind the two nations.

He reaffirmed the Pakistan Air Force's (PAF) steadfast resolve to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in the fields of advanced training and aerospace technologies.

Considering India's massive "success" with Sindoor they do not seem to be getting any visitors....

Chinese PLAAF Air Chief, Defense Minister of Turkey visiting, South Africa wants training, Azerbaijan already completely with PAF, Belarus, PAF airchief visiting USA right after Munir visit.......what is happening....

@MastanKhan

Meanwhile....the french and indians......bwahahahahahaha
Hi,

The French really really want to meet the PAF chief---but their "hands R tied"---🙏🙏

No - he is quoting the chief but it is possible ACM is overstating claims to kills.
Don’t think so , it makes perfect sense… 3 Rafales on 7th and possibly more on 10th . Got Israelis to help with jamming/ew and thought they would try their luck again…

Does Pakistan need to make such trips to use as a bargaining card against China? Nope 0% when China knows our economic situation inside out.

It’s the F-16 upgrades
This air chief is so against F-16s including in jeopardising the existing fleet's current software upgrades. If there are even talks about the aircraft, it will probably be at a modest level. They make a presence with the US government to see what they can be offered. In addition to a few days of clean water, high speed Wi-Fi, deals etc etc

Air Force to Air Force relations.

There is a lot more that goes on above and beyond weapons transfers which aren't in the CAS' purview. Those have to be handled by the Defense Ministry etc.

Joint exercises (Falcon Talon etc.), placements in each other's staff courses, Pakistani cadets at the USAFA Colorado Springs etc. etc.
The latter is a bit in hazy as there has been a few absconder cadets and one is now serving in USAF. He had the nerve to hold a Pakistani flag at his graduation and completely abandoned his return. Pakistani cadets at USAFA are in less preference as the international students these days.

Perhaps it has to do with the “F-16 guys” being part of the “verbiage” that sank the last forum. Any suggestions associated with that group is apparently offensive.

Unfortunately, that is where ego has negative impacts on logical choices.

Imagine that alternate universe of "F-16 guys" vs "M2K guys" (had the M2K/-5 orders in the 1990s gone through).

They use sparkling imported water in Pakistan. What better does US has to offer to them?
