Great article by Zohaib Ahmed

Start simple: a datalink is a digital, secure comms layer that lets platforms — jets, #AWACS, ships, ground stations — share real-time tracks, targeting data and commands. Think of it as a jam-resistant, mission-grade WhatsApp group for the battlefield. PDL-17 (sometimes written Link-17/Link-17 in open sources) is Pakistan’s indigenously developed tactical datalink that stitches PAF sensors and shooters into a single, shared battlespace picture — the backbone of Network-Centric Warfare (NCW) for the force. Please dont feel any liberty to ridicule me, even if i feel the need to 'obfuscate' anything!

Im not an electrical engineer, Im an epistemologist and financial engineer and will avoid any hint of spitting out any useless or needed info!
blip (waves) travel faster (in a very specific time frame), than the missile speed..

only question is, how blip speed was determined in a very specific 'jamming' env!
you are confusing radar returns with missile velocity and worse off in completely different context it is mentioned in the article. The blips mentioned are looking at the return of the Rafale.

Missiles cannot outrun electromagnetic waves - Jamming creates noise that masks other returns coming in. In that case its a mix of noise that degrades the Radar and datalinks and it’s not some perfectly targeted math because anything within the Jamming lobe gets impacted including friendly communication. The Growler actually has a system on it called INCANS which helps it communicate in jamming environments.

How much of an impact it has in missile detection time from a noise perspective and so on is debatable. But that still has nothing to do with tracks in the HQ and how the kills are confirmed.

thankyou, for making it easier!

blip itself is a piece of information in a jamming env!

I hope I am explaining it well, blip which sends signal/creates new info under very particular jamming conditions!

it is not a 'pre designed' blip, it can recognize jamming!

Sorry
I don't understand Tamil.

What Indians don’t seem to understand is that what they believe, want to believe or Godi media told them doesn’t matter. This article is published in the world’s best selling military aviation magazine with online version too. What are military enthusiasts/ proffessionals around the world going to do as they read it? Believe it’s content or read up on coping Indians crying foul & start taking that into account? It’s yet another significant nail in the coffin of politically motivated, ill conceived & incompetently executed Operation Sindoor which badly backfired on India. Months later they are still desperately grappling around trying to salvage some semblance of dignity.
The realization hasn't dawned on them yet, this one blunder that was carried out only for personal publicity of Modi, caused them to lose 25 years of political investment in the US relation building. It turned India from a so called counter-balance to China to a complete and unconditional surrender and bow-down to China. Lost all backing in the Islamic world and these are just a few losses.

One stupid person only harms himself, one stupid leader (read Modi) harms the whole nation.

Regarding at least one more Rafale other than the confirmed BS 001 kill at Bathinda, my theory is that at least one crashed somewhere over Kishtwar National Park, which has massive snowy peaks and a relatively small population, since it is a protected area with only a few nomadic families residing deep in somewhat dry cold valleys.

AVM Aurangzeb Ahmed did claim its kill over Kishtwar National Park, the specific name of the area was not mentioned though.

So, somewhere in this region, a Rafale lay wrecked in a glacial valley or on top of a massive peak, with its debris likely recovered later by Indian army soldiers after the conflict, due to the difficult terrain and under strict supervision to ensure that no footage was leaked. Moreover, as per my research, the area remains foggy and snowy in early May so no local footage? This could be one of the reasons.

Specifically around this region...

exactly my thought @Falcon26 i was going to write the same thing to you .. we are lucky we got clear video of rafale and su30 (or mig29) .. imagin 15meter object falls in such a remote unacessable area with no population around .. getting a footage even by satalite should be very hard.

The same was the wreckage of something as large as Su-30 MKI was "hidden" along with 3-4 Rafales.

Whatever it was, it was burning violently which wouldn't likely happen if it crashed in the open and exploded. And would be launched if it gets the target in it's range. Who knows.

Say hi to SU30 pilot inspecting SU30 wreckage.

'Mock drills' are publicized so that real casualty evacuation can be masked. Simple but brilliant strategy....👍👍
One needs to ask why plan the mock drills when their plan was (which they actually also did as confirmed by their own politicians on the assembly floor) only to bomb the civilian targets and then surrender.

Typical Indians on this thread.

Who makes a mock drill in the middle of a brewing conflict? And which mock drills have real explosions heard? Surely corroborating with Alan Warnes story here. While tarps may not show much. It does point into the direction of Pakistan's narrative.

Each time Indians are asked to show proof that their Rafales are still alive, despite even serial numbers provided, their either talk about our hangars or post an old image.

Let's clear things up here. We have admitted to a damaged Saab already. But if you think we will be parking our F-16s in the hangar during the start of a conflict, it means you are completely wrong. The onus is on you to prove your claim of F-16s damages. Additionally , it is the onus on you to disprove the claim of Rafales being alive after serial number were provided by Alan Warnes.
Its a cope 100%.
