well it seems the Austerity measures are for the poor/common folk only.

the ruling elites are still abusing and misusing funds and perks for their Trips to America and UK (personal trips, has nothing to do with Pakistan's state business) and there is nothing that stands in their way.

We already have more than capable Ambassadors in the UN offices in USA.
There was no need for Ishaq Dar to travel abroad.

And If he wanted, could've taken commercial flight? No they are just showing off pretending they do some work, but in reality, they're probably lining up their bank accounts and personal dealings using the state's money

No wonder they have no respect anywhere, even the Chinese Govt does not respect them anymore. Such a shame.

Can't Iran's oil enter Pakistan? Pakistan, backed by Iran, should not lack oil channels.
US sanctions sunk that project. Pakistan's lazy corrupt government never bothered to use any of its leverage during the US war in Afghanistan or any other time to get a sanctions waiver.

Instead they adopted their usual criminal path, they decided to smuggle Iranian oil into Baluchistan province and take their cut. Of course that doesn't work for the whole country.

Adhocism ... let's pass the debt to next govt and now this debt is monster and beyond control .... SIFC of 100 billion dollars is toasted ....

In the real world (ie, not PDF), Pakistan is pondering going to war against Iran's proxies at the behest of Saudi Arabia. I doubt that Iran will look kindly upon such shenanigans.

Pact with Saudi Arabia threatens to draw Pakistan into Middle East conflict
Pakistan and Iran share a territorial border, and Iran's oil reserves were not discovered only today. Have you not engaged in commercial cooperation with your neighboring country for decades? This has nothing to do with today's agreement with Saudi Arabia. I recall that for many years, you have not had any major conflicts with Iran in this region.
