Best book on Kargil is by Naseem Zehra.@Panzerkiel can u provide a brief review of Shireen Mazari's book on Kargil. I read it and felt it left alot to be desired.
Also can u suggest any other book on Kargil esp focusing on military/tactical aspects

As someone who even as a young teen was present fairly close to the “front line” and sat in drawing rooms with those commanding the front line. There is a lot less credit given to what was accomplished but also lot less accountability for what was left to run “uncontrolled” and especially the lack of communication.I've read both books... Mazari and Zehra... And both of them don't come near even an iota of what actually happened.
