Chinese medium-lift utility helicopter produced by the Harbin Aircraft Industry Group (HAIG).

Design and Capabilities:
The Z-20, first flown in December 2013, has a maximum takeoff weight of around 10 tonnes (22,000 lb). It is capable of operating from high-altitude locations (above 4,000 m or 13,000 ft) and from aircraft carriers like the Liaoning.
Comparison to Black Hawk:

The Z-20 is often compared to the US-made Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter, and its design shares visual similarities with the MH-60R Seahawk, a variant of the Black Hawk. China acquired S-70/UH-60 Black Hawks in the 1980s.

Naval Variant:
The Z-20J is a naval utility/transport variant, designed for carrier-based transport and capable of mounting weapon systems on its stub wings. This variant is operated by the Chinese Naval Landing Forces Air Force.

Role and Engine:
The Z-20 is primarily used by the Chinese military, mainly the Army, for troops transport and supporting vertical assault operations, with a secondary role as a utility transport helicopter. It is believed to be powered by the domestic WZ-10 turboshaft engine.

Anti-Submarine Warfare:

The Z-20F, an anti-submarine warfare (ASW) variant, is seen as a key step towards a full-blown anti-submarine platform, significantly extending the operational range for ASW missions compared to existing fleets.
