If one is as successful in U.K. as in Pakistan (corresponding to the local income level), one would be paying higher tax rates in U.K. It may not be profitable to run away. Of course, living in U.K. is nicer for a lot of other reasons compared to Pakistan. But Tax rate does not seem to be the main attraction. ​

Tax in the UK isn't great, but in exchange for that tax we get...

- Free healthcare
- Free education
- Emergency services
- World class infrastructure
- law and order
- garbage collection
- maintanance of our cities/towns/villages
- welfare payments for the poor, disabled, ill etc.
- free school meals for children under 7


What does the Pakistani awam get? Also a point to note, 4.1 million pkr, is currently less than £12,000.

Especially elite college education in technical fields like medicine and engineering.

The typical guys who leave the country and hurt it most.

Definitely there should be a bond for them. This amount is ridiculous. I think the army spends about 70-80 lacs in producing a doctor. Should be the same for an AIIMS.

P.S. Mind you, the above is just the under grad degree. Not the 17-18 years before that the state spent on making the boy a man. If you say, the boy became a man for his parents, then the parents may feel free to pay that back to the nation from the boy's earnings and remittances.

As I said, elites will be benefitted with the continuity of migration. We are cutting budgets of higher education commission, subsidy will be removed gradually. Education is no priority, keeping awam Jahil is the best and only option to prolong already much prolonged regime in charge.
