Pakistan Cricket Imploding by itself

Pakistan cricket is thoroughly corrupt and unprofessional. There is too much politics, groupings and favoritism, resulting in poor performance.

Lost interest in cricket somewhere after 1997, somehow coinciding with me getting my first PC. Saved me a lot of heartbreaks I guess 😃

Cricket is a dead sports walking in Pakistan and a true microcosm of the larger malaise in Pakistan's economy, culture and society. It's just a reflection of overall breakdown of every institution and worthwhile entity is Pakistan, when the powers that be (GHQ) can install two of the biggest criminal looters in history on top of the presidency and PM'ship, crisis in cricket only pales in comparison.

In Pakistan nothing is abnormal. Abnormality is normality. Sad thing, it is symptomatic of the country and it's whole governance and management infrastructure not just the cricket.
After Pakistan lose Lords Test, PCB has released seven players and has also released the coaching staff with the test team while just one last test remaining.
Tell me about it.
Abbas did well for bowling yes he had support. Saud tried. Why is imam Ul Haq parchi is weird… Babar gets scared to fail then fails

Again grass roots cricket to nation team is a funnel that’s broken - we are a management problem

Focus on other sports like MMA, boxing, football, hockey

Under 34 EZ model, every sport will be promoted especially Cricket, Field hockey, Football, Sambo style Wrestling, Boxing, Taekwondo, Silat, MMA, Squash & Badminton, Volleyball (already played in Army),

Tier A & Tier B: The Full League Architecture

Tier A —

These are the zones with:
  • Existing cricket culture
  • Strong district-level performance
  • Better infrastructure
  • Higher population density
  • Corporate sponsorship potential

Role of Tier A

  • Flagship competition
  • Higher broadcast value
  • Produces most PSL-level players
  • Sets the standard for Tier B to chase

Season Format

  • 12 teams
  • Round-robin (11 matches each)
  • Top 6 → playoffs
  • Bottom 2 → relegation to Tier B
Tier B —
These are zones with:
  • Lower cricket exposure
  • Fewer academies
  • Smaller markets
  • Untapped talent pools

Role of Tier B

  • Development league
  • Talent discovery
  • Regional empowerment
  • Pathway to Tier A

Season Format

  • 22 teams
  • Divided into 4 regional conferences
    • North
    • South
    • West
    • Central
ConferenceEZ CountAnchorsGeographic Logic
South8Karachi, HyderabadSindh + South Punjab
West9Quetta, GwadarBalochistan + West KP
Central9Lahore, Faisalabad, MultanPunjab + Upper Sindh
North8Islamabad, Peshawar, GB, AJKKP North + GB + AJK

  • Each team plays 8–10 matches
  • Top 4 overall → promotion playoffs
  • 2 teams promoted to Tier A
Promotion & Relegation System

Why this matters

This is the engine that keeps the league alive. It forces EZs to invest in:
  • Academies
  • Coaching
  • Talent scouting
  • Infrastructure

Flow

  • Tier A bottom 2 → relegated
  • Tier B top 2 → promoted
  • Tier B 3rd–6th → qualification tournament for PSL-style main league
This creates meritocracy, not politics.

Qualification for PSL-style Main League

we can have 8–12 teams to qualify: here’s the optimized structure:

Qualified Teams

  • Top 6 from Tier A
  • Top 2 from Tier B
  • Optional: 2 wildcards (based on performance + fan engagement)
Total: 8–10 teams Perfect size for a commercial T10/PSL-style event.

Why this structure works

1.

Tier A teams face strong opponents.Tier B teams grow without being humiliated.

2.

12 Tier A teams = manageable broadcast package22 Tier B teams = low-cost development league

3.

Promotion/relegation reduces influence of “big families” because performance decides everything.

4.

enforce:
  • 70% local EZ players
  • 30% open category
This directly solves Punjab overrepresentation.

5.

We can expand Tier B later without touching Tier A.

Too many things happening- yaar first fire PCV chairman only. He is only interested in cricket politics, not interested to improve the team

First fix the economy, give people jobs and security then government can promote sports without politics.

Lol.

Advice from Indians on keeping politics out of sport 👍

“Our [Indian] government and the BCCI [Board of Control for Cricket in India] were aligned on the decision to play this match. We came here just to play the match and gave them [Pakistan] a perfect reply,” Suryakumar Yadav. 13.09.25.

No grit, no will to fight. Bloody cowards!

I prefer the Afghan cricket team with its fighting spirit over these castrated bastards.

None of this has anything to do with the economy, politics and any of the other bakvas.

These bastards are paid to perform on the field. And they are well paid at that.

Ask the Afghans who play for literally nothing, yet they play their hearts out. Do you think Russians or Iranians are not performing because their politics are broken or their country is at war? They show up and they dominate. What happened to these useless bastards in white?

Stop making excuses for them. Inn ka aik kaam hai, dil or Jigar se cricket khailo. Woh bhi nahi karsaktay yeh SoBs.
