Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: News Updates and Discussion

I don't want to deny it but with restrictions and security I don't think so it will be any more induction from PAF even will use them as only trainer jets.

Further even since 2019 we / PAF start using other platforms as aggressors.
Turkey will help out.
F16 Block 70/72 is a potent system. PAF's familiarity with the F16 would mean that PAF would be able to utilize it well. It also keeps PAF exposed to western systems, western airforce doctrines/tactics when PAF does exercises with them.

However if it comes with same restrictions...embargoes/sanctions during war time...then kind of a useless way to spend money/resources.

However I think with the recent events(China revealing two 6th gens undergoing testing, Chinese J10/PL15 which is not even their 5th gen proving to be potent systems, Rafale a 4.5 gen not doing as well as once thought)...Trump could be convinced that 5th gen and onwards is the way to go. F16s are on their way out. US should be selling F35s to their allies aggressively...while US goes for NGAD...
...simultaneously Turks would have to be onboard...and can purchase F16 in its entirety with all rights. They can just use the money for the development of Hurjet(possibly more) and manufacture/sell/support F16s around the globe. Of course they will have complete control and can add/sell their own(ozgur) avionics and weapons systems.

This way Turkey could just standardize to F16 Block 70(ozgur for them)...and KAAN for 5th gen. With full control on both they would work very well together. With a full purchase of F16s...Turkey will be able to get its hands on the F16 Block 70 engine...it can use that knowledge as a stepping stone to further develop/build engines for KAAN...
...F16 Block 70/KAAN would position Turkey well against Greek Air Force(with their Rafales) and anything Russia might have in the next two decades. This F16 purchase could very well pay for itself with sales/support to other F16 operators.

I know this is a longshot...but this would be one way for Pak to keep/upgrade F16 without restrictions.

It is entirely doable IMO as Trump would probably agree to such a deal...
...but there's possibly billions involved and of course risk...not to mention the willingness of a whole third country(Turkey) to be onboard. So I doubt it will ever go like this in the real world...
...but one can hope.

It's a myth that Americans can stop Pakistan from using F16 against India and I have seen even Americans saying that. Otherwise, why would Pakistan buy such an expensive aircraft? To use against Afghanistan?? Having said that, there are probably restrictions on reselling or enabling reverse engineering by China but even on the reverse engineering aspect, Pakistan probably worked with China to develop JF 17 jets.

The greatest issue with the F-16 blk52 in PAF isn't capability but political flexibility.

The US have always have maintained an extremely tight grip on how these F-16s are used and when can they be deployed since at the time of their introduction they can rightly be considered a disruptive prescence in southwest asia, from assigning US personnel to oversee maintenance to prevent intel leaks to assigning liasions to dictate mission sets. For a good part of the past two decades, the F-16s were pretty much strictly limited to counter-terrorism and counterinsurgency missions, while the rest of the Pakistani military industrial complex had little opportunity to study and gain knowhow from servicing the F-16s.

With the introduction of J-10CP, what F-16 blk 52, or even F-16V could offer is no longer anything special. There is a solid case to be made that the J-10CP is already superior to the F-16V especially in A2A missions (canard-delta layout, WS-10B, larger liquid cooled GaN AESA array + longer ranged PL-15), offered at prices at or below the cost of production, paid for with low/zero interest loans, with very little strings attached.
All the more remarkable of PAF's success, considering the handful of J10s. That's like saying the PAF fought with one hand tied behind their backs...imagine if the Vipers were unleashed as well?! In my view, the JF17 is the unsung hero, it's the most numerous of the fighters that can fire the PL15, and I wouldn't be surprised if it took the most kills.

Time to forget F-16. More J-10C's...

It's not that they can stop...
...ppl don't realize that a fighter jet that is not locally produced...without remaining spares can only go on so many missions...before u either have to ground it urself...or just keep using it for as long as u can before it goes the way of Mig21s and starts having all kinds of dangerous malfunctions as parts begin to fail when used excessively beyond their life cycle.

Can Pakistan use F16s in a conflict? Yes...as it has used them

In a long drawn out conflict with India...would Pakistan face embargoes and sanctions by US/West? Yes...as it has faced sanctions/embargoes

Would Pakistan be able to sustain its F16s and keep them airborne in a drawn out war without US support? Only for as long as it can maintain the fleet with the inventory of spares.

So yes...geopolitical considerations are very important for an organization like the PAF..which can't afford to make purchases left and right...so when it does purchase something it must take into account such things.

Lmao.

Remember kiddos, she may like India better than Pakistan, but she's ultimately loyal to Euopean/Western nations. She's just making money off of liberal hindu nationalists.

Also, is she in her pajamas?

After Turkey, Indian media is now directing a coordinated attack at Doland Trump. Narrative building is that Donald Trump has backtracked on his claims of brokering ceasefire by leveraging trade.

There is increased chatter that India may severely test ceasefire agreement in the next 36-72 hours.
