Another theory I have seen recently pushed is that the recent war felt "curated" and was due to Pak Army trying to regain its lost pride and relevance to Pakistanis. Most of it seems to be from overseas dual nationals from US and Canada. Infact there was a recent thread here asking members to seek favor of a US bill to sanction serving Pakistani security apparatus. Don't be shocked if that Bill suddenly finds traction due Indian money.
