The simple matter is - there is thanda shuruwat jiss ko zara garam pani daal ke phuss kiya gaya hai. Neither side is in any mood of de-escalation, pani sir se guzar chuka hai, Indians will be assessing their damage and Pakistan must be planning their response, the more news hits the light of the day the emotions will steer up, Its a game of Ego and survival.

India didn't over react for nothing. The Indus River water was a dispute as far back as 1948 and it took 9 years of hard negotiations to sign the Indus Water Treaty in 1960. And Indian media is full of the 'unfairness' of the IWT and Indian state of Punjab's officials have recently said they won't let water out of Punjab into other Indian states. India wants to put Pakistan in a perpetual blackmail over the water flowing into Pakistan. Indians have overbred, are over populated, they need resources and this conflict is their step to their Lebensraum.
So there are not only the Modi's grandiose civilizational plans but also the Water Wars at play here. And if Pakistan kicks the can down the road then in a few years similar situation may arise. It is best to settle this once and for all and I don't think a guerilla war / insertion into IoK would necessitate a nuclear threshold: Pakistan should dig in and defend but do the 1948+1965 into IoK.
