The F16's need to be sold. You can still find a very good price and market for them today, but you may not few years from now. The money should be used to fund more J10's and JF17's as well as beef up the Navy and domestic law enforcement efforts. Pakistan is weakest at sea and India's most successful weapon has been sponsoring foreign criminal/terrorist groups to weaken its neighbors. Mukti Bahini, TTP, BLA and the 2009 Lahore attack on Sri Lankan team which resulted in no international cricket in Pakistan for over a decade is an example of the success of this Indian policy.
No they won't be....time and time again they have proved to be effective. And the Paks use it so much that there won't be much of a market for heavily used Vipers.

There is also a good number of former servicemen who would be fielded to fly them in case of much bigger escalation between Pakistan and India.....

@Raider 21 is it true that there is going to be a presser with the pilots from 15th squadron? also would you like to comment on 7-0?

There's a good amount of bullshit in there. The Vipers were doing CAPs....and no Su-24 has ever been shot down by PAF nor did the Afghan AF ever operate them.

The last PAF reported kill was an IAF MiG-21 Bison which occured on the morning of Feb 27th 2019....
It doesn't detract from the main thrust of this article, which said that the F-16 is totally useless and only good for airshows and national day parades

@StormBreaker

Just for you.
I’m in love with shivangi. Meri house maid gaon bhag gai hai. She would’ve filled the vacancy best.

Yeah, she said 'Bakwaas' (Rubbish) to the Indian claim to have shot down Pakistani fighter jets and that was so easy for her to say because the Indian claim is obviously a lie. These biased journalists / analysts have a way with words to appear 'credible' and 'impartial'. On the more important question about whether there was an Indian role in the recent huge act of terrorism on the Jaffar Express train in Pakistan, she dodged the question. And she is not the only one of such sneaky, snaky 'analysts': They appear a lot especially in the Western media.
She maybe music to the Indian ears but she is basically a 'Bakwaas' herself!

Pakistan launches Fateh missiles at India’s Pathankot airbase

The strike resulted in substantial damage at the site.

Pakistan Army has released footage showing the launch of Pakistan’s Fateh-1 and Fateh-2 missile systems during a retaliatory strike carried out on May 10 under Operation Bayun-e-Marsoos, state-run PTV reported.

The missiles were launched in response to Indian aggression and successfully targeted the Pathankot airbase located in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The strike resulted in substantial damage at the site.

The Fateh-1 and Fateh-2 are indigenous guided missile systems with precision-strike capability, designed to engage strategic targets deep within hostile territory.

On May 10, Pakistan and India agreed to a full and immediate ceasefire after days of intense military exchanges that had raised fears of a broader conflict between the two nuclear-armed neighbours.

The announcement was first made by US President Donald Trump and later confirmed by Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The ceasefire came after missile strikes, drone incursions, and retaliatory operations across the border.

Tensions flared after a deadly April 22 attack in Pahalgam, Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), that left 26 civilians dead. India blamed Pakistan-based elements without providing evidence; Islamabad rejected the claim.

India responded by closing the Wagah border, revoking Pakistani visas, and suspending the Indus Waters Treaty—moves Pakistan labelled as an “act of war.”

By May 6–7, Pakistan launched Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos, claiming to have downed five Indian jets, including Rafales, and intercepted 77 Israeli-origin Harop drones.

The US played a central role in facilitating backchannel diplomacy. Secretary Rubio and Vice President JD Vance held talks with senior leaders from both countries, including PMs Shehbaz Sharif and Narendra Modi, as well as top defence and intelligence officials.

Following Trump’s announcement, both countries suspended military activity across land, air, and sea, though allegations of ceasefire breach were also reported from both sides of the Line of Control (LoC).

These conspiracy theorists will not give up. These people need it like they need oxygen. Forum has emboldened miscreants.
Pakistani uncles are addicted to emotionally comfortable conspiracy theories and it informs their entire worldview. Another theory I have seen recently pushed is that the recent war felt "curated" and was due to Pak Army trying to regain its lost pride and relevance to Pakistanis. I think that one is being pushed by PTI-ians.

No way. In the hands of a skilled jockey it can give nightmares to any modern 4.5 gen fighter. PAF is quite satisfied with viper even if they get no upgrades they can still serve for a good 15 years.
