Pakistan-India Conflict 2025: News Updates and Discussion

Did you see the follow up article? The convictions came in 2024 long after Phoolan herself was shot dead in a Thakur retaliation.
Talk about the wild west. You murder on live TV in the Yogi Raj,

Welcome to the messiness of Indian democracy, where trials can drag for decades and even vigilante justice gets aired live. Personally, I think Atiq was good riddance, but I’d have preferred the courts to handle it the right way.

Whatever the world thinks, India’s course is set by its voters, not by coups or army generals
India’s institutions do function, just not always as fast or cleanly as we’d like
Yes your Supreme Court is a wonderful example of Institutions functioning:
April 2025
<<<"The Supreme Court judgment mandated a show-cause notice period of 15 days, and another 15 days after the final demolition order, so that the affected individuals could appeal. Instead, they watched as bulldozers tore down their homes, mosques, and dargahs, while adjacent Hindu-owned structures remained untouched." >>>

enforce complete and total air superiority?? How?

Forget IAF jets for a second, you think from S-400 to LRSAM, to Akash to Spyder were also out of service??

Not a single pakistan missile could strike its claimed target. CM-400 fall on large field 10miles from Adampur base. Of course pakistan while it had live Sat feed from China during the operation would not reveal damage pics of targets it claimed to have attacked.

13 airbases were struck by two dozen missiles .
See where runaways were hit. It is called with pin point accuracy
India got more than few 1000s of same type of missiles. It's a big deal.

Yes, up to 4 jets lost but as the defence attaché mentioned it was due to the pollical leadership fault who set a RoE that handicapped iaf. When that RoE was changed iaf struck Pakistani bases with drones and missiles wherever it choose.

LOL! This is so amusing. I love this delusion.
Bro, you people are from pakistan which was part of undivided India till 1947.

The region Alexander invaded is also in Pakistan.
Not a single Punjabi or Sindhi ever invaded any part of India, let alone conquered. While from Bihari Ashoka to Samudra Gupta to Hindu Sikh Ranjit Singh ruled parts of today's pakistan for many years.

Your Air Force was grounded for 2 days. This is according to your senior most military official. PAF enjoyed uncontested airspace over the battle space and over India.

Your National Security veteran Bharat Karnad had this to say

The IAF presence over J&K was sparse in 2 of the 3 days. Why?

“Because every time a fighter lifts off, Pakistani radars pick it up.
Because the Erieye sees what Indian radars can’t.
Because the PL-15 launches from outside Rafale’s threat envelope.
Because the Rafale, once India’s silver bullet, has been turned into a $250 million sitting duck. The IAF now flies 300 km behind its own borders.”

As I said before, you guys have Mr Asim Munir and his “maturity and restrain” shenanigans for undermining PAF’s historic dominance of the IAF to thank.

Your S-400 which were touted to enforce 400km no fly zone over Pakistan were irrelevant. It was your Air Force that was forced to fly 300 km away from the border to escape the PAF spanking, per your own defense establishment.

The discussion about the downing of a Rafale began with claims of "social media evidence" and eventually boiled down to the assertion that "one Rafale was shot down."
May I ask how that conclusion was reached—especially when no wreckage has been seen, as you yourself (your establishment) had initially acknowledged?

That strikes me as duplicitous and deceptive.

It hints at the possibility of more severe losses.

First, the "social media evidence" is dismissed as bogus—a red herring—and then, paradoxically, accepted as proof of a loss (to avoid more questions!)

talk about 'magick'!

This is what their veteran national security expert is saying:

“The fleet of 36 is now depleted. This is of larger consequence than the damage done by Indian missiles to frontline Pakistani airstrips and air defence systems. Sindoor has definitively proved that Rafale is an overhyped combat aircraft.”

Or maybe India's course is set by goondas more than voters.
So the voters prefer goondas?

Strange democracy, India is the only country where its citizens are beaten up for speaking the national language.

No denying there are real issues, selective enforcement and ignoring court orders are unacceptable. The Supreme Court did issue clear guidelines but even now, the executive often finds creative ways to defy or sidestep the judiciary, just within the limits. Until the economic situation of the masses improves, we’ll have to live with these imperfections. Still, it’s miles better than having an army general or unelected elite holding all the cards.

Welcome to the next level of Indian democracy, state politics, where local leaders get away with nonsense because, unfortunately, enough of the local population keeps voting for it. That’s not a bug, it’s a feature of democracy, people get the leaders they tolerate.

Blaming the economy for "imperfections " , with a $5 trillion economy?

Your own elected chief minister thumbed his nose at a Supreme Court order. The case was dropped 2 decades after the death of the petitioner. Your Supreme Court should get prime time on the Comedy Central Channel

I still don't understand where their money goes. Majority of the country looks worse than Congo.

Yes, of course your voters also vote for leaders who laud suicide bombers and terrorists including those who murdered your sitting and ex-Prime Minster. If Nathu Ram Godse had murdered Gandhi today he would certainly have been let go scot free.
Stop pontificating.

Not perfect, but hopefully moving in the right direction. Have we gotten better? Mostly yes. Are we where we should be? Probably not. Progress in a developing democracy isn’t a straight line, especially in a country of 1.4 billion. The Kalyan Singh case was embarrassing, no doubt. But at least it was debated in public, not buried by a uniform or silenced by force.

Xi is shaking hand of a person who has killed countless soldiers and civilians of Pakistan.

I AM DISGUSTED INDEED !!

Well, India is within China's sphere of influence/backyard. So, such meetings are to be expected after all.
