That is a dubious source, and it's not even very edgy or informative.

Oil prices in Pakistan have dropped. So how can we have a higher bill? We charge our consumers based on what we pay to buy oil. If we've dropped the price, it means we bought it cheaper......
Secondly, spot prices are the same all over the world. Whether in Middle East, America or China. By buying large quantity, the selling country can give you a discount, which is what we got from America and others and we reduced the prices a few weeks ago, giving that benefit to the public.
Thirdly, you brought in America, we do trade with them, its the largest export destination for Pakistani goods. We have a couple billions worth of surplus in the bilateral trade. So we have to purchase American goods too. It's "bi lateral" trade.
The three major things (outside of Pork), America exports are 1: Weapons 2: Oil 3: Electronics. Our entire front line critical weapon systems are now Chinese. Even F-16's are second tier. So we don't buy weapons from them anymore like we used to until the 90's.
That leaves us buying Oil and Electronics. Go to any computer market in Pakistan, 75% of new and used laptops and computers come from USA or through US businesses having locations in the Middle East or EU.

Mashkhel: Inauguration of Katagar Crossing Point — A New Era of Connectivity and Prosperity on the Pakistan-Iran BorderIn the border region of Mashkhel, Balochistan, the Katagar Crossing Point between Pakistan and Iran has been formally inaugurated for cross-border movement.
Inspector General Frontier Corps (South) Major General Bilal Sarfraz Khan graced the occasion as the chief guest and inaugurated the crossing point.
Member of the Provincial Assembly, Mir Zabid Ali Reki, also attended the ceremony.
The decision to open the Katagar Crossing Point for transit was made during a grand jirga held in Dalbandin, Rakhshan Division, on July 2, 2025, chaired by Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti and Corps Commander Balochistan Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem Ahmad Khan. In line with that decision, FC Balochistan (South), in close coordination with the district administration and Iranian authorities, completed all administrative and logistical arrangements through tireless efforts.
A large number of locals, tribal elders, traders, and children enthusiastically participated in the inauguration ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, IG FC Balochistan (South) stated that the security and management of the crossing point will primarily be handled by the local community to prevent any unlawful activities.
He further revealed that the Jodhar Crossing Point will soon be opened for trade, and work on establishing a buffer zone is already underway.
The opening of the Katagar Crossing Point marks a historic and positive development for the people living in the border districts of both countries. It will serve as a milestone in promoting cross-border connectivity, cultural ties, regional stability, mutual trust, and shared prosperity.

ISLAMABAD : Iran on Wednesday offered Pakistan a "blank cheque" in order to resolve issues with India and Afghanistan, an unusual and rare show of support in the face of Islamabad's challenges from the eastern and western fronts.
"Pakistan is very dear and honourable to the Iranian people. We are prepared to give the Pakistanis a 'blank cheque' to help resolve these issues, to be used whenever they deem necessary," Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran's National Security Council, in an interview with a local news channel before he wrapped up his trip.
Larijani is one of the senior aides of Iran's Supreme leader and influential figure. He traveled to Islamabad amid a host of regional developments including the brewing tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan as well as the evolving situation in the Middle East.
Larijani held a wide range of talks, meeting the president, the prime minister, the deputy prime minister and the Field Marshal. Talks focused on bilateral ties, regional and international issues.
Relations between Pakistan and Iran saw an unprecedented improvement in the aftermath of the 12-day Iran-Israel war, which was later joined by the United States.
Islamabad's support for Tehran and deft diplomacy helped avert a major trouble for Iran. Pakistan's positive role earned praise from Iran's cross-section of society. Larijani, before travelling to Islamabad, acknowledged Pakistan's support for Iran.
The development led to such goodwill in Iran as Larijani offered blanket support to Pakistan to deal with its eastern and western neighbour.
In a statement shared on his Xi account, Larijani disclosed that Iranian President Dr Masoud Pezeshkian, after his recent visit to Pakistan, had issued "important directives to remove all economic barriers between the two countries".
Larijani added that the Supreme National Security Council would also lift any remaining restrictions, stressing that Iran imposed "no limitations on cooperation with Pakistan".
He, however, urged for "greater dynamism and practical action" from both sides and confirmed that robust mechanisms were being established to follow up on these decisions.
Earlier, Larijani called on Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, where the two sides discussed bilateral cooperation, evolving regional security, and ways to strengthen Iran-Pakistan engagement.
Director General ISI Lt General Asim Malik and other senior officials accompanied the Field Marshal.
According to the ISPR, the COAS reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to peace and stability in the region, underscoring the need for closer coordination with Iran in counterterrorism and border security.
Larijani appreciated Pakistan's "vital role" in regional peace and voiced Tehran's resolve to deepen strategic, political, and economic cooperation.
Both sides stressed that sustained dialogue and practical cooperation were essential for navigating regional challenges and achieving long-term stability.

This is a very significant thread! I believe Pakistan won the admiration and trust of the Iranian people and leadership when Pakistan stood with Iran against the Israeli attack in June 2025 AND that General Asim Munir, in his 'Private Lunch' with President Trump, stood for Iran.
This is a major diplomatic breakthrough for Pakistan on top of many others in the year 2025.

They don't have a choice, Israel are breathing down their necks.
We know they have used Pakistanis for their proxy wars and turned a blind eye to BLA in the hope they would collapse Pakistan through collaboration with India.
Pakistan forgiving and merciful as always.

Just make sure no more BLA and KY's enter and create issues for Pakistan, we may not be able to offer much to Iran but having at least one border safe and secure means something to Iranians at this point.

I believe Pakistan and China jointly opposed any attack on Iran, possibly used hardline stance against the Israeli aggression, Trump even mentioned this that Asim Munir is not happy, Israel also avoided attacking any Iranian oil and gas fields although Netanyahu made threats. Its a good move, we must not allow any state in our region to be attacked by foreign powers, it leads to instability and affects the whole region, plus millions are killed.

Of course you are right on all points, especially the bolded part.
As to the cynics about this foreign policy or other developments: Just 8-10 years ago, China used to be like 'Please get along with each other' when it came to India-Pakistan. Turkey used to offer basically lip support but now rushes military support to Pakistan in crunch time. Azerbaijan was distant but recently offered vocal diplomatic support--and possibly some concessional oil. Saudi Arabia was not commital about Pakistan-India but signed the Mutual Defense Treaty. Iran was semi-hostile but is certainly far from that.
Some people live in the past too much--just because things didn't work in the past doesn't mean they won't work in the future as well. And then there are those in this forum--not saying you are one of those--who can't think beyond their political bias.
To me it is obvious that Pakistan's diplomacy is doing great and that's no small thanks to Modi's Operation Sindoor folly.
