Pakistan Missiles - Updates, News & Discussion

in terms of air operations.. mind my terminologies ...
what are the key capabilities that are missing ...
like if we compare our air power with our adversaries or other potent air powers...

Fatah series are too big for albm use especially when most likely platforms for integration (jft and mirage) are light weight platforms with in case of jft limited underbelly space

Given the ability to now design systems like this in Pakistan, is there any reason why Pakistan could not design ALBM for its JF17 and J10CE series of jets?

This one seems lighter tho
Also did a quick Google AI comparison between SMASH and RAFAEL'S ROCKS ALBM which can be mounted on an F-16. So if they can bring SMASH closer to Rocks in terms of weight and dimensions, then it can be a potent ALBM class weapon in PAF's arsenal.

You can but you need funding for that and we already have cm400s for the role in time being. Imo theres probably something in the works but i dont think its a high priority given babu mentality of importing cm400s from china and more pressing needs

Interesting sheet, thanks for that.

Imagine the cost saving of manufacturing a 1,275kg platform versus a 18,000kg platform.

Pakistan does need to look at these types of alternatives for itself given the inhouse skillset it now has.

CM-400s are good as long as they are being used for anti-radiation roles, although if Pakistan can manufacture its own AGM-88 HARM like missiles in the FAAZ series then that would be great. What PAF truly needs is raw speed and firepower in terms of ALBM and having SMASH/Fatah-2 derivative for that role will be sufficient domestically produced option.

Imagine during standoff each squadron carrying a single SMASH ALBM along with Taimoor ALCM as well as CM-400s for targeting radars. Integrate them with ARFC's Fatah-1/2 and this will give India such a headache.

Fatah 2 is not an 18 ton missile gang 😭

Smash and fatah 2 are way too big for the role. You need something closer to fatah 1 size imo to consider as a derivative

18 tons lmao, do you think the missile is made of tungsten?

Yes that's what I was saying in my previous comment that they need to bring Fatah-2/SMASH to an ALBM class category in terms of size and dimensions for PAF. I think they have all the ingredients they need, only problem I think is the budget.
