-Seems to be our answer to Brahmos, even if it is just a rebranded Babur -- it's basically signaling that this time around, things won't be like the 2025 conflict where the IA was using top of the line armament like Brahmos, while Pakistan was only using rockets with limited range while most of the heavy lifting was done with the PAF using CM400-AKG.

The intake is retractable, it's concealed internally and deploys on launch after the booster has jettisoned to ignite the turbojet motor. If the intake is permanently deployed externally it would be difficult to package it inside a launch tubes and launch.
