Not sure why the sudden fascination with the intake and comparing it with the indian nirbhay...it's like two little toddlers looking at each others dingle and making comparisons.well there's no visible slope leading to rocket motor and it's a babur with green paint so that leads us to believe air intake is retractable
We use a retractable intake, it's one solution to solve the issue with packaging the missile in its launch canister and providing enough turbulent free air for the turbojet. It's the same solution used by the tomahawk series. The indians being indians make a jobs programme out of everything for their babus and reinvent everything. I don't think their nirbhay is even in mass production or deployed yet, it suffered a number of failures over years, they're actually way behind Pakistan in the area of subsonic cruise missiles. We even have a sub launched version from our agostas.
