CNS visited Istanbul Naval Shipyard, called on Cdr of Shipyard & received a detailed briefing on PN’s MILGEM project. He also visited submarine design & construction facilities at Golcuk Naval Base, followed by visit to TN units TCG ORUCREIS, S/M PIRIREIS and NDU, Turkiye.

PAKISTAN NAVY IN A JOINT ANTI NARCOTICS OPERATION WITH DIRECTORATE OF EXCISE, TAXATION AND ANTI NARCOTICS SEIZES NARCOTICS WORTH 24 BILLION RUPEES

Pakistan Navy, in a joint operation with Directorate of Excise, Taxation & Anti Narcotics (South Zone Balochistan) and Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre (JMICC), seized a large quantity of liquor, Hashish and ICE/crystal during a counter-narcotics operation in general area off Kund Malir. The value of the seized consignment is estimated at Rs 24.28 Billion.

Upon receiving actionable intelligence, the joint forces swiftly launched the operation, resulting in confiscation of approximately 8,000 bottles of liquor, 600 kilograms of Hashish and 200 kilograms of ICE/crystal. The consignment was being smuggled into Pakistan via sea routes from international origins. The confiscated liquor, hashish and ICE/ crystal have been handed over to Directorate of Excise, Taxation & Anti-Narcotics (South Zone Balochistan) for further legal proceedings.

Pakistan Navy remains committed to prevent use of Pakistani waters for any illicit purposes. This successful operation is a testament of Pakistan Navy’s unwavering vigilance and dedication in safeguarding national waters against unlawful activities.
 
PAKISTAN NAVY AND TURKISH NAVY CONDUCT BILATERAL AMPHIBIOUS EXERCISE IN KARACHI

Pakistan Navy and Turkish Navy have successfully concluded first Bilateral Amphibious Exercise. The exercise marks a significant milestone in strengthening maritime collaboration and interoperability between two friendly navies.

The exercise featured a comprehensive range of training activities including combat firing techniques, amphibious operation drills, convoy escorting drills and military operations in urban terrain. Live firing drills and close combat scenarios, designed to sharpen tactical coordination and readiness in littoral environments were also a part of the exercise.

The exercise culminated with a comprehensive amphibious drill in the designated coastal area validating operational readiness of both navies.

The conduct of bilateral exercise reflected deep rooted defence partnership between Pakistan and Türkiye and reaffirmed shared commitment towards regional peace through regular collaborative training initiatives.
