Pakistan-Saudi Arabia mutual defense pact: News & Discussion

Sympathy. Despite headlines, they haven't really accomplished as much as they need to win outright. America deaths are barely on double digits. No ship has been hit let alog sunk. Single-digit combat aircraft shot diown. They haven't been able to do anything to resist or at least disrupt American attacks on their country.

I am not denigrating them here. If a lightweight keeps standing and even gets few hits against a heavyweight, that is praiseworthy. That is better than 99% could hgave done.
But the best outcome for Iran was always a negotiated settlement. It was never going to win outright.

And who is paying for all this? America just fights for free? Is it really a win when you fire 3 patriots at a Shahed drone?

I dont see it happening, if the US had to negotiate with them after a month of strikes, what will Pak achieve attacking Yemen?

I hope the military planners think really hard before going kenetic, they dont want end up in the same position as trump, stuck going up the escalation ladder and losing men, material and the backing of their people.
If you’ve committed to something there is only so much excuses, loopholes, u-turns you can do before you sour your partner on the pact.

Yes. I don't think the Iranians quite realise how serious we are. This is a irect threat to Pakistan's energy security and that will not be tolerated.

LOL.Dude, this is one of the stupidest things I have read. Its a question of our energy security, being able to run the country at all. Strikes won't be pinpricks. Or for show. Everything will be on the table then.
:Pakistan may fail to secure its flow of energy. That is possible. But it won't be for lack of effort.
The Iranians have tried to say “We’ll provide it to you”…

On what?
A pipeline that is basically useless?

Then what? Trucks and motorbikes which basically do a drop in the ocean of Pakistan’s needs?

The American Tax payer maybe but please dont be myopic on cherry picking costs without also commenting on the costs of Iranian infrastructure, power plants, civilian lives etc.

When did I say Iran is not facing cost? But when it comes to the threshold for pain the Americans definitely have less stomach for this far away war.

They are virtually creating a Vietnam 2.0 for themselves here if they keep at this pace.

Iran has previously fought a near 10 year war that changed its demographics due to the high death toll.

Absolutely there is less stomach for it -
Just today Trumps powers are being contained by resolution but that doesn’t mean the stop will be immediate.

Can Iran continue to bear costs until change actually comes to America? What timeframe does it assume this to be?
A month? 6? 24?

Pakistan was able to get Iranians the best possible deal in that MoU. Everyone, after reading the text of the MoU, would be of the opinion that Iran was the winner. The shit in Iranian skull interpreted it as the defeat for the US and a need for Pakistan. Neither of these is true. In addition, some/major elements in Iran didn't like the enormous increase in Pakistan global stature either.

Pakistan did all this mediation to save the region from devastation that Zionists planned for igniting a war between Shai and Sunni Muslims. Luckily that devastation is not in the interest of the US and China either. Iranians on the other hand tried every possible tactic for that war to break-out by launching missile and drone attacks on almost every Arab country, and foolishly so, including Qatar and Oman too. The world must admire Pakistan's efforts for prevailing on Arabs for not retaliating those attacks and appreciate Saudis for understanding and restraining.

China would certainly like the region not dragged into further turmoil. However, Chinese are unlikely to intervene in the war in Iran's support. Not at all. Chine's only strategic interest in Iran is to keep its oil inflow uninterrupted. Other than that, Iran has no strategic significance for Chine. If Straight of Hormuz gets closed due to Iranian stupidity and arrogance, that will not go smoothly with Chinese either.
You're correct, brother.

In my opinion, Iran under the IRGC has come to be viewed by many governments as a major source of regional instability.

I believe the United States waited too long while Iran expanded its ballistic missile and drone capabilities, and has now shifted towards a much more aggressive policy of containing and degrading those capabilities.

Just imagine if the Afghan Taliban had acquired a large arsenal of ballistic missiles and long-range drones. In my view, that would have created an even more dangerous security environment for the entire region. Pakistan has therefore moved to take a much firmer approach towards security threats emanating from Afghanistan.

These are crazy fanatics. The moment they get their hands on a weapon, they seem to be itching to pick a fight with someone.

Thankfully, we have removed one threat and we're busy helping the world remove the other established threat to the region.

So, are you suggesting the United States should simply accept the ritualistic chanting of "Death to America" by crowds in Iran, shut its eyes, and wait for Iran to develop ICBMs?

Why would the United States adopt such a daft policy instead of preparing for emerging threats and monitoring the capabilities of its potential adversaries? 🤔

Man while Muslim states fight and bomb each other, the zionists are planning their next move. ...
It's a fake video. He's the actual video.

Luckily, Muslims are not gullible as you and Zionists don't need to plot anything.

Then Munir's Pakistan should not complain or start R-Rona if Chickens start coming home to roast then.
Chickens , crows, pigs, snakes , ducks - all have come home to roost - some were killed , some keep breeding , some people breed themselves in some form of brotherhood…

Nothing new

My comment was not in response only to that video, Israel has a much better strategy than muslim countries do, they control the US. Gullible is under estimating your enemy.
Nobody is controlling the US.

Israel is just a very large American military base that represents another Christian occupation of Jerusalem, but this time using the Jewish Homeland excuse.

Sure, APAIC only bribes 90% of US politicians, so there is hope in the 10%
AIPAC is one of the most influential pro-Israel lobbying organizations in the United States. Some critics even joke that Israel is America's "51st state" because of the close relationship between the two countries.

Pakistan has also hired a number of lobbying firms in Washington since Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif returned to office in 2024 to advocate for Pakistan's interests in the United States. Many observers argue that bilateral relations have improved noticeably since then.
