You know I said many months ago there is one nation that can stop this war and its China. Both the US and Iran will listen, the US knows what China can do if they continue their war and Iran knows as well if both parties dont come to a compromise what could happen.

Ofcourse China will act in its own interests, but right now it would be prudent for Pak, SA and other nations who are pushing for peace to push the Chinese to get more involved and push for a durable peace. That IMO is in Paks interest.

There is very little trust now between US/Iran, GCC/Iran and ofcourse Israel is sitting quietly now because they are absolutely loving this and the escalation that we are seeing. If the brakes are not hit soon we could be in a much worse situation, its quite depressing we are in a cycle of non-stop violence.

China will not get involved now. If no clear winner can be determined on the battlefield, it will be very difficult to reach agreement at the negotiating table. Besides, Iran and the United States are both unpredictable actors.Especially Iran: right now, they can’t even find a truly authoritative person whose words carry weight. The entire country has already completely fragmented into warlord-style divisions, with complex internal interests.

Sympathy. Despite headlines, they haven't really accomplished as much as they need to win outright. America deaths are barely on double digits. No ship has been hit let alog sunk. Single-digit combat aircraft shot diown. They haven't been able to do anything to resist or at least disrupt American attacks on their country.

I am not denigrating them here. If a lightweight keeps standing and even gets few hits against a heavyweight, that is praiseworthy. That is better than 99% could hgave done.

When did I say Iran is not facing cost? But when it comes to the threshold for pain the Americans definitely have less stomach for this far away war.

Just today Trumps powers are being contained by resolution but that doesn’t mean the stop will be immediate.

Can Iran continue to bear costs until change actually comes to America? What timeframe does it assume this to be?

Pakistan was able to get Iranians the best possible deal in that MoU. Everyone, after reading the text of the MoU, would be of the opinion that Iran was the winner. The shit in Iranian skull interpreted it as the defeat for the US and a need for Pakistan. Neither of these is true. In addition, some/major elements in Iran didn't like the enormous increase in Pakistan global stature either.

Pakistan did all this mediation to save the region from devastation that Zionists planned for igniting a war between Shai and Sunni Muslims. Luckily that devastation is not in the interest of the US and China either. Iranians on the other hand tried every possible tactic for that war to break-out by launching missile and drone attacks on almost every Arab country, and foolishly so, including Qatar and Oman too. The world must admire Pakistan's efforts for prevailing on Arabs for not retaliating those attacks and appreciate Saudis for understanding and restraining.

China would certainly like the region not dragged into further turmoil. However, Chinese are unlikely to intervene in the war in Iran's support. Not at all. Chine's only strategic interest in Iran is to keep its oil inflow uninterrupted. Other than that, Iran has no strategic significance for Chine. If Straight of Hormuz gets closed due to Iranian stupidity and arrogance, that will not go smoothly with Chinese either.

In my opinion, Iran under the IRGC has come to be viewed by many governments as a major source of regional instability.

I believe the United States waited too long while Iran expanded its ballistic missile and drone capabilities, and has now shifted towards a much more aggressive policy of containing and degrading those capabilities.

Just imagine if the Afghan Taliban had acquired a large arsenal of ballistic missiles and long-range drones. In my view, that would have created an even more dangerous security environment for the entire region. Pakistan has therefore moved to take a much firmer approach towards security threats emanating from Afghanistan.

These are crazy fanatics. The moment they get their hands on a weapon, they seem to be itching to pick a fight with someone.

Thankfully, we have removed one threat and we're busy helping the world remove the other established threat to the region.

So, are you suggesting the United States should simply accept the ritualistic chanting of "Death to America" by crowds in Iran, shut its eyes, and wait for Iran to develop ICBMs?

Why would the United States adopt such a daft policy instead of preparing for emerging threats and monitoring the capabilities of its potential adversaries?
