Pakistan-Saudi Arabia mutual defense pact: News & Discussion

Arabian camels, Arabian horses, Arabian leopards, extinct Arabian lions, Arabian sharks, Arabian sand cats, Arabian wolves, Arabian gazelles, Arabian oryx, Arabian cheetahs etc. same story.

Do you know what they say about camels? A camel will remember mistreatment its entire life and can easily kill a person by its huge teeth and powerful mouth or its kicks which can kill horses.

Not sure about insurance, this is to be seen yet, but close and trusted ally indeed and it works both ways. KSA has been the economic lifeline of Pakistan for a long time, hosts the largest Pakistani diaspora in the world that sends billions of remittances back each year and in general ties are historical and span pre-Islamic (since the IVC appeared in history and its close trade ties with Dilmun, Magan, Sumer etc. in Eastern Arabia alone), Islamic, people to people, religious, cultural, linguistic (Urdu and all native Pakistani languages use the Arabic alphabet and Arabic has heavily influenced Urdu) etc.

Speaking of which, do you know that we have a sizable Saudi Arabian community of South Asian origin (every ethnicity found in Pakistan) due to Hajj, Umrah and millennia old trade ties as well as more recent intermarriages?

But as I have written many times before, Pakistna needs to gets its act together. 250 million people and the economic output is too low. You need to combat corruption and play into the hands of the Pakistani human capital. That would make Pakistan a much more attractive investment destination.

You do know what they say about beggars. You can help the same beggar once or twice but the third, fourth, fifth etc. time he asks for help, after you telling him to get its act together, the more tiring it gets.

Not necessarily referring to Pakistan here but a host of former or present regimes that KSA has helped. Some never changed and now belong in the dustbin of history among others because they did not listen to common sense.
Banter aside, I agree with what you said ... Pakistan must change , business as usual is not sustainable.

How many times must it be told that this Hezbollah fanboy (Middle East Observer) and his spam is just that, spam and propaganda?

None of it is from KSA and what has been struck is 1 tiny oil tank in Jazan (Aramco refinery) which was quickly extinguished and can be repaired within mere days. That was the largest Houthi attack on KSA since 2015 (:ROFLMAO: ) and they keep bragging about hitting 1 tiny oil tank as if they had won the war and conquered all of Yemen let alone KSA.

Only footage from KSA is this one (Jazan) but unclear whether it is old or recent:

And this was Jazan city this morning. Completely peaceful like all of KSA.

https://x.com/jazannow/status/2080893034321899733

Nice deflections from the bombardments across temporarily Houthi occupied small Northern Yemen that the Houthis had to face and could not do anything about.

And what makes this entire thing even more pathetic is that KSA shares an almost 2000 km long border with Yemen and many large population centers and cities in South KSA are located very close by. Yet the Houthis since 2014, have failed to ever do any harm to those areas of KSA let alone the rest of the country.

If Houthis continue their suicide campaign, KSA should just sit back and the international community will carpet bomb them some more additionally to our own bombings. They will never be able to control any Bab el Mandeb strait or the Red Sea. At most do a few attempts of disruptions, much like the Iranian regime is doing in the Strait of Hormuz.

Carry on.

Pakistan will likely lose some good friends next few years if Middle East situation is getting worst, they will demand Pakistan to act immediately.

We can't be sided with Saudi against Iran, we can't be sided with Iran against Saudi.

Muslims vs Muslims

As a Pakistani, I would gladly stand with a country that helped finance our nuclear program and repeatedly supported us during economic crises, rather than one that allowed its territory to be used by India to fuel instability in Balochistan. Last year during the India - Pakistan war, Saudi FM was in Islamabad trying to mediate while Iranian FM (late) FM was in Dehli making deals.

The Wahhabi jehadi mindset and infrastructure the the US and Saudi pushed into Pakistan since 1980, with the blessings of few bribed off jernails and mullahs, has destabilized and damaged Pakistan more than anything. It is the reason Pakistan is a dangerous unstable poverty stricken mess it is today.

Have you taken those gigantic losses into account ?

Saudis will not taking thus laying down, big question now is if Pakistan joins the retaliation. Up until now Saudi ships have also been struck but no Pakistani ships have been harmed. Bit of a dilemma

How do we know whether the airstrikes on Yemen are being carried out by the Saudi Air Force, the Pakistan Air Force, or at least by Pakistani pilots operating within the Saudi-led coalition?

During the early years of the Saudi-Houthi conflict, Saudi Arabia’s air campaign was heavily criticised for its effectiveness. The coalition faced accusations of poor targeting and limited success rates (16-19%), which increased pressure on Riyadh to seek a ceasefire with the Houthi terrorists.

With the utmost respect for Pakistanis and Pakistanis but I don't recall Pakistan ever doing this actively. You know, other than mere political statements and limited stationing of Pakistani advisors (many retired) and a few Pakistani fighter jets in mostly Tabuk in the Northwest which is part of a long-held decade old agreement.

Have in mind that RSAF is one of the most powerful air forces in the world as well as battle proven in modern conflicts.

Pakistani involvement against Houthis has not occurred since March 2015 either. The progress in Yemen was all done by the Yemeni army and KSA.

Same KSA that quickly defeated the UAE and Southern Yemeni separatists within days back in January 2026.

Iranian has yet to attack KSA other than a few useless drones and missiles, mostly targeting US military stationed in Prince Sultan Air Base.

KSA, since 1973 (when 2000 + Saudi Arabian troops were stationed in the Syrian frontline) have not had any single skirmishes with Israel.

Brother, please do not question Pakistan’s commitment. Our Foreign Office has already made it clear that Pakistan will respond if Saudi Arabia formally activates the agreement. The commitment is there; the next step is for the Kingdom to invoke it, i dont think the time has yet come , but if it ever does you will see PAF and PA deployments.

the fires at Jazan appear to be expanding

Nice propaganda. 1 tiny oil tank, whose fire was long ago extinguished (within a few hours).

This was the same area of Jazan this morning almost 12 hours ago.

I have honestly never seen this guy make a single sensible post. He only shows up on the forum to dump his usual bitter, negative nonsense. Judging by his posts, I seriously doubt he is even capable of having a reasonable discussion.

Mods?

What is this imaginary "Jihadi mindset"? I know that your cult has completely changed numerous Islamic (well-established) religious tenants (I will not go into detail here as this will derail the thread) but last time I checked, next door Afghanistan got invaded by the Soviets which killed 1-1.5 million Afghans if not more. KSA did not need to teach any locals (literate Muslims at least) about the concept of Jihad. Nor did KSA or anybody else instruct anyone to kill any innocents etc. That is the manufactured reality that you cultists have created in order to blame outside forces for your own regions ills, ignorance etc.

What more must be said than the fact that we are talking about a country (Afghanistan) were pedophilia is part of the culture, were homosexuality is part of the culture and where bacha bazi (or whatever it is called) is a favorite pastime for many Afghans - most of which remain illiterate to this day in 2026. I guess all of this is also the fault of KSA.
There is no such thing as a "Wahhabi" either. That was a political movement relevant mostly 300 years ago and its religious doctrine is aligned with the Hanball madhhab https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanbali_school which is 1 of the 4 traditional Sunni Muslim schools of thought.

But keep projecting your own failures unto outsiders that have nothing to do with it.

Dream on till the dream comes true...fire will expand 😉....world economy will crumble 💪 American public will revolt against trump and American military will withdraw with tails between her legs.

What you said is completely true - we really appreciate Saudi's support for many years, never forget that.

I merely asked you about the hundreds of billions in economic damage and tens of thousands of precious Pakistani lives that have been lost due to the wahhabi salafi jihadi mindset imported into Pakistan since 1980 from Saudi Arabia and used to fuel proxy wars in multiple lands. Or did that never happen ?

Most normal Pakistanis are more nuanced and will stand with Yemenis subject to Saudi Arabia’s unlawful siege

We didn't launch airstrikes on all of Afghanistan's major cities recently teaching Afghan Taliban a lesson to then shaking hands with Houthi terrorists in Yemen.
