Pakistan-Saudi Arabia mutual defense pact: News & Discussion

It was always a mad dog feeded by USA will remain suprise is they got overpowered in decision making on its own now USA must be thinking what they have done it's haunting USA back too. GCC should say back your backs USA go home or stop your dog now or let us find new partners.

It is not offtopic to say this: Israel's mad dog behavior is directly proportional to Israel's control of the US domestic politics and currently that control is at its absolute peak with Trump as the President. You won't find American Presidents with skull caps constantly going to Israel before Bill Clinton 1992 and crying on the Wailing Wall like since Clinton 1992. And I don't think you will find another American President bending to Israel like Trump does.
But the mad dog, by attacking Qatar, has just made a historic blunder. There is no doubt in my mind that even the GCC Arabs have realized that something will have to be done: 'Honor' and 'Pride' are very important in the Arab world--perhaps more important culture then in any other culture. They were impotent and still are but the mad dog Israel just slapped them on their faces by attacking Qatar--this was not some attack on Jordan or Syria or Lebanon: This was on a core rich Arab state. And hence what we see was predictable though I am surprised it happened so soon and with such visible displays as seen between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

Both Pakistan and Saudia Arabia need to build the military capability to allow this treaty to be honoured.

Pakistan is some way away from that as it has no spare military capability to send to Saudi Arabia. The deterrence of the treaty is more virtual now than practical.

If India launches another failed attack, will the Saudis provide us with F15s and euro fighters ? Would it expel Indians and sanction India?
No, because no such promise has been made

No, because no such promise has been made
"The agreement states that any aggression against either country shall be considered an aggression against both."

Its too early to know what this means practically, however its a very good first step.

It was always a wish of many think tanks in pakistan to have some kind of pacts with other brotherly nations. it will excel us and there are many benefits. if saudia is serious then they should provide us their airbases. We will come very close to israel. We need broader reach and deployement in other countries. we always wanted to do it. i don't know why it took so long.

i know we still have a small army in saudia protecting holy cities. we needed a foothold. now i am expecting similar pact with turkey. we need airbases in turkey as well. with deployements, we will learn more and we will become more and more deadly.

KSA must invest in our missile programme specially long range hypersonic cruise missile. our pilots are capable of flying f-15s as well. i am sure they know systems and sensors on f-15s.. Saudia must abandon united states for Pakistan. united states is with israel and same things were echoed by rubio when he met with qatari delegation. Arabs are waking up.

If egypt wants, it can come forward as well. Egypt is very strategic as it shares border with Israel. Let us finish the job. Give us free oil, give us cash so that we can buy sixth generation chinese jet and new missiles. help us and we will help you.

Israel is nothing. Arabs don't be scared. Israel can be handled. It's supply lines can be choked as well. All we need is a war and we need proper deployement before war.

India will be very upset today because Pakistan is getting respect from other countries. I told you earlier that saudia arab was desparate. Now they have the deal. I hope they implement it quickly. Time for deployement boys :D

As @RajaBaja said some pages before: Saudi Arabia's economic tools against India are too massive for India to ignore. WTH is India going to do to a country which has hundreds of billions of $$ in reserves and which provides India massive amount of $ via FDI, via remittance? We all know who would be the net 'loser' in an economic war between India and Saudi Arabia.
Heck, even China, despite its big trade surplus with India, has literally killed Indians in the recent border conflicts and by supporting Pakistan in May 2025. What has India been able to do to China in response?? In contrast, IF and WHEN the Saudis really want to punish India, then the economic tools at the Saudi disposal are huge. Any India reading this should know that Modi's open hug of Netanyahu while Netanyahu was slaughtering the Gazans was well noted by the Arab world.

This will also bring the Saudi's closer to the Chinese security apparatus. Saudi's will likely want to also procure advance Chinese weapons so there is more interoperability with Pak forces, hopefully this also helps Pak get some key weapons which are likely held up due to fund issues.

Easier said than done... second it an agreement... not creation of a ratified treaty organization.

Saudis don't even start on an even keel, they start from a net negative, to support anything at their end because of decades of US and western meddling and controls. No interoperability... and very limited expeditionary capabilities ability of Pakistan...

The urgency that is upon mideast now is decades of neglect and deflection. It needs decades of investment and plugging of gaps. Understanding of environment and ecosystems needed to become operational let alone be of immediate service.

At best it is an attempt at optics to get some political leverage.

I must also add that current Pakistani posture is dedicated towards aggression from the east and containing threat at bare minimum... a defensive aggressive approach. Which cannot be tinkered with much... however Pakistan can and should work for a supranational offensive defense posture within a treaty organization that not only prevents aggression but has an ability to take it to the aggressor.

Now that would be something meaningful instead of optics being worked at this moment.

Exactly this vague comment leaves much to be gleaned... As I said a lot of specifics are not available so anyone dismissing or discounting the severity, sincerity or overplaying the importance without the full facts and figures being laid bare is doing themselves a disservice.

That said, as far as I am concerned, this is good news indeed.
