Pakistan-Saudi Arabia mutual defense pact: News & Discussion

Killing almost retired age old military men in the street anyone can do no? in any country.

This, by the way, shows that you really didn't observe or analyze who Israel did kill in its campaigns over Iran.

How the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces (Mohamed Bagheri), C-in-C of IRGC (Hossein Salami), Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force (Amir Ali Hajizadeh), Head of IRGC Intelligence (Mohamed Kazami), and dozens more important figures were 'almost retired age old military men killed in the street'?

And, I am not even talking about the nuclear/IT scientists killed in Israeli strikes.

Apparently, Israel targeted them with quite some precision, here, an Israeli strike that probably took out an Iranian commander in Tehran on June 13.

I know that you are not an Iranian but if this was coming from an Iranian then I would have straight up said that this level of copium huffing is really dangerous for Iran, similar to the Indians cope, along with hopium huffing, over their pathetic air force lol.

He said it 4 days ago and already retracted from his statement.

Now his opinion aligns with official policy of Pakistan that we will defend Saudi Arabia conventionally as we won’t be doing nuclear proliferation. But we can use all means to defend them which is a grey area

Keeping it ambigious suits evveryone

Ironically Pakistan would be both safer (from Israel) and less safe (from Iran) if Iranians really did have a strong air force. Quite the contradiction for us...

This is BS, Israel cannot "do an Iran" on Pakistan.

Killing scientists and hacking reactors works if you want to stop a power trying tio develop a nuke capability. Pakistan has had one for over 40 years now. It has insitutions, many reactors, hundreds of warheads, gradates many scientists every year. It has a massive infrastructure that we do not need to hide. Killing a few scientists or damaging a couple of reactors will mean very little (otherwise US and India would have also tried).

Iran also had many people willing to betray their country, Pakistan probably has some too, but very few and also remember what they do to us will be returned "quid pro quo plus".....

Pak's biggest offsetting weapon, is, that it wont need to beg USA for the tech!

ISL, would need to think twice!

ISL success would cause its fatality!

Could it be that Arabs are waking up and seeing what monster they've grown with their indifference?
Maybe they finally read some version of this and understood the implications...
"First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist

Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist

Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist

Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew

Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me"

They showed the same indifference to Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Iran...
...putting their short sighted political differences first...and acting like "yeah we don't care for that syrian regime...or Iranian regime...it would be good riddance"...now maybe they have finally realized that they can be next...once those "others" have fallen that they didn't care to defend against Israel's hostilities.

Well KSA will not fight beside Pakistan if it is not needed..but it will in case there is a need for it.. the same applies to Pakistan..

This whole deal is a deterrence in the first place for any insane nation who decides to attack Saudi Arabia or Pakistan.. boldly said it is a nuclear and economic deterrent..
A lot of ppl are looking at it as if this signing of the agreement was the final step in joint defense...
...and now it's bound to fail bcuz neither Pakistan nor KSA have the capability to fight/sustain long distance war.

IMO that's wrong...I see this as the first step. This means both nations have recognized at the highest levels of their institutions like the military and the government that they need to band together for future threats...and therefore...from now on...having officially signed this agreement WILL build towards the capabilities required for joint defense.

Additionally, Iran has fractures between the "IR" and "Reformists" which Israel has exploited between these warring parties to get to the heart of the nuclear programme to destroy it, and iran. Those fissures do not exist in Pakistan at all. Pakistan's are united against external threats. Hiring 1-2 terrorists to let off a bomb is one thing, but getting close to hurting Pakistan nuclear programme has zero chance, let alone trying to harm it.
Why do people think anyone in their right mind is out there to try and disarm Pakistan's nuclear weapons?

It's just daft.

Pakistan is a well established nuclear weapons power. It's not a nation you want to mess with.

Even when NATO was deployed in Afghanistan for nearly a quarter of a century, they did not dare look at Pakistan's nuclear program with a malice eye.

Pakistan's nuclear infrastructure is not made up of a dozen sites that can be taken out with a few airstrikes and it's over. Attacking an active nuclear facility is akin to dropping a nuclear bomb on that country. Radiation leak from such a facility would kill tens of millions of people.

So, the bottom line is, those darpoke Pakistanis need to stop behaving like darpoke Pakistanis, and man up a bit when talking about Pakistan as one of the 8 declared nuclear weapons power.

As I suspected, the GCC have quietly dumped the Egyptians....

Exclusive: Egypt’s Nato-style Arab defence force proposal rejected at Doha summit

egypt cant even protect itself, they got nothing literally, no bvr even. They are biggest US bitch in the region!

This is a good point here

Pakistan has an advanced and established nuclear programme since decades, you can't just delete that out

And if you tried it would re-establish with more vigor and intensity

Iran is alleged to not have one nuclear warhead yet look at the issues it's causing its enemies

Maybe it's something useful to get people cooperating, but it's likely in global interests to keep Pakistan's nuclear program in a good equilibrium and acting as a sufficient and reasonable deterrent, nothing more

Egypts best chnace was in 2015 . when arab countries were not happy with Pakistan. if they had some sense they can diversify and modernine their forces which could tackle israel but May skirmish and nuclear power two factors gives Pakistan an edge .
