The nuclear sanctions against India were imposed in mid 1998. And by early 2000, Bill Clinton did the historic embrace of India. India was always the apple of the American eyes except the Indian planners were too stupid to see that. Also, I don't believe that America, as a State, has ever seen Pakistan as a strategic threat. On the contrary, Pakistan could be and has been a useful tool to get concessions from India time to time.

I believe the context was Israel.

Unfortunately he is and I have met many of his type in my time there. Plenty of them can be found in government offices asking for rubber stamps or other “wheels” on files - then going back to family drawing rooms and debating everyone from a “know it all” position while sounding like utter fools.

I am of the view there are no objections from America. I think realisation setting in among American establishment that they cannot restraint Israel to respect the red lines (due to AIPAC and Zionist political influence within). This should in theory, will deter Israel.

The key to understanding the US role in this is to see the tweet posted above by @PaklovesTurkiye. The Indian analyst calls it a “CENTCOM driven Saudi Pakistan defense pact.” CENTCOM is the US military which is the US govt. agency which is the least controlled by the Israeli lobby.

Pakistan’s relationship with the US is mostly driven by military to military contacts. US politicians on both sides are controlled by Jews and they’re overwhelmingly pro Israel and pro India, apart from Trump’s recently acquired distaste for Modi.

Since Pakistan has mostly been run by the Pakistan Army they’ve developed a good relationship with the US military. So, I believe that the impetus for this probably came from them and they gave the green light to Trump.

Pakistani troops in Gaza? That would be like some prophecy being fulfilled.

Several years ago a prominent person from Pakistan told this story. He went for Umrah to Mecca and met some Palestinians. They asked him when is Pakistan coming to help them. He asked them what they meant. They said that according to their prophecies Pakistan will come to help them and they’re waiting.

It’s uncertain if the Israelis will let the Pakistan army into Palestine because once they get in they’re never leaving. Israelis won’t be able to bomb them and get away with it.

I have noticed touts in Pakistani media now speaking against Hamas. We also know that GCC despises Hamas and Israel/GCC both prefer the meek and compliant Palestinian Authority. I think Pakistani troops in Gaza may be subcontractors for West/Israel/GCC more than peacekeepers. I am getting bad vibes from all of this.

Yes, you’re right, whatever is happening is with US consent. But even a peacekeeping mission that saves Palestinian lives is worth a lot for them.

The Israelis and Americans were expecting all the Palestinians to run away from Gaza. Israelis, and also Trump’s own son-in-law, Kushner, were planning large real estate developments on the Gaza seafront. In any other place on earth if people were subjected to such assault they would have abandoned the area. It’s unbelievable that the Palestinians are hanging on.

If there’s a peacekeeping force that allows the Gazans to stay and protects them then that is a great service to them.

However, somehow I doubt whether the Israelis will allow Pakistani troops in. But if it happens, it will be great.

This forum should be a good place for interaction. Those who can't control themselves, have too much agitation or frustration in life, should avoid joining because it's better than getting personal with everyone who disagreed.
