Turbojets for cruise missiles are one area Pakistan should to develop the intellectual property for in Pakistan soley, they are no where near as complex as an engine for a fighter jet, but they are an important part of making missiles in Pakistan and that, at a lower cost than imports.
Fanboy fantasy is the purpose.what is the purpose of this thread? most of the news shared here have no connection to Pakistan and they're already shared in the Turkish Defense forum.
one is ready and complete. one isnt. Why is Turkey willing to spend a staggering $20 billion, despite its tumbling economy, on upgrades through the USA if this program is truly as good as advertised?
They'll spend that money over several years, and, as importantly, it'll involve their local industries in meaningful ways. So, a big chunk of that $20 b will flow back into the Turkish economy. I imagine they'll negotiate for offsets too whereby US companies will sub-contract Turkish vendors for other programs (e.g., sub-assemblies, engineering services, etc). Why is Turkey willing to spend a staggering $20 billion, despite its tumbling economy, on upgrades through the USA if this program is truly as good as advertised?
