Pakistan should be diverting extra water towards Thar Desert

These projects were never completed because , money went to buy BMW and Salary raises for PML and PPP officials
Seems like a basic engineering project
Project 1:
150-175 KM worth of Canal , to move water to Thar (R1)
Project 2:
80-100 km worth of Canal to move water to (R3)
The R1 project can further divert water across the desert of Sindh
200-300KM long distribution channel for Water in Route 1
Project #3 Distribute extra water in Sindh
If these 100km x 550 km zone was used for artificial lake or water storage we could have saved lot of water and converted desert to forest
Water released in Sindh Desert will create forest
Right now it is destroying homes and cities and villages

- To develop a redirect channel for water to Thar Desert (Route 1 )
- Secondary redirect at (Route 3) to barren desert like region west of Pir Mahal
Project 1:

Historic flood set to hit Chenab River
Provincial floods death toll climbs to 35, PMD warns more rainfall expected till September 3

On Monday, Punjab Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb sounded the alarm as unprecedented flooding in the Chenab, Jhelum, and Ravi rivers threatened 11 districts, including Jhang, Sahiwal, Toba Tek Singh, Okara, Multan, Pakpattan, Bahawalnagar, Vehari, and Bahawalpur.
By late tonight, the Chenab River is expected to witness its largest historic flood of 900,000 cusecs. Additionally, floodwaters from the Ravi River are expected to merge into the Chenab tonight.
Severe flooding is reported at Trimmu, Balloki, Sulemanki, and Ganda Singh Wala, while medium-level flooding affects Khanki, Qadirabad, and Shahdara.
Water levels in the Chenab River have begun rising at Head Muhammad Wala, with the flow now surpassing 200,000 cusecs. Over the next 24 hours, a flood surge of 480,000 cusecs is expected to hit Head Muhammad. At Head Trimmu, water discharge has reached up to 550,000 cusecs.
In Rajanpur, the protective embankment of Samti village broke due to the flood surge, and water has rapidly inundated nearby villages and fish farms. The floodwaters coming from Jhang have begun engulfing all settlements in the Jawana Bangla area of Muzaffargarh. Currently, a flood flow of 400,000 cusecs is passing between Jhang and Muzaffargarh in the Chenab River.
The Sutlej River continues to wreak havoc in Bahawalpur, with riverbank erosion intensifying. Floodwaters have begun to engulf nearby areas, including Mari Qasim Shah, leaving residents stranded. A major flood is expected to pass through the city in the next two days.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) issued a warning on Monday morning regarding upcoming rainfall. According to PMD, “widespread heavy to very-heavy rainfall, along with torrential downpours at scattered places, is expected over the upper catchments of Rivers Sutlej, Beas, Ravi, and Chenab, as well as in Lahore and Gujranwala divisions, during September 1 and 3.”

‘Heavy to very heavy rains’ in Punjab to add to human misery
Anwar KhanKARACHI: Continuing floods are surging towards Punjab’s capital, Lahore and the adjoining divisions of Gujranwala and Gujrat - as the Met Office on Sunday forecast more ‘heavy to very heavy’ rains, including torrential downpours, over the upper catchments of the Sutlej, Beas, Ravi, and Chenab rivers through September 3.
The Flood Forecasting Division also warned that the intensified flows could push these rivers to very high and even exceptionally high flood levels, posing a severe risk of urban flooding across the three divisions.
The Chenab at Marala is forecast between 90 rising to 210 thousand cusecs. At Khanki the river flow is between 200 and 210 thousand cusecs, and at Qadirabad it is between 220 thousand cusecs falling to 130 thousand cusecs and rising to 210 thousand cusecs, all at high flood. The Chenab Bridge is expected between 290 and 330 at high flood, while Trimmu will rise between 280 and 600 thousand cusecs, ranging from medium to exceptionally high flood. At Punjnad, flows will reach between 90 and 150 thousand cusecs at low flood.

As the entire country is ravaged by the floods, billions of dollars worth of crops, animals, property destroyed and more than anything, precious human lives gone that will never be returned. All due to what other's call "Natural Calamity" like floods, earth quakes and other acts of nature.
But in reality, this was not an act of nature. Rains were, but the floods that came in Punjab especially, were due to India releasing massive amounts of water. In this nation, the debate of building "dams" has been going on before our birth. But the question is, for electrical production through hydro powers, dams are needed, but are the dams needed to control floods also?
The answer is NO! Dams worth billions of dollars are NOT needed for effective flood control. LAKES are needed to be built. If you ever go to advance nations like China, USA and Canada, even European nations like French country side, Swiss and even in UK, there are large lakes built every 20 kilometers or so. These lakes are water reservoirs to save rain and flood water and provide fresh water to neighboring cities. These don't have a dam like design and many are created by digging the earth deep and making a bowl in the earth spanning a few kilometers.
These lakes are then used for recreational activities like water sports, boating, fishing and also serve as alternative fish farms and sea food farms where fresh water fish can be raised for consumers. These lakes generally require a 5th of investment compared to a medium sized dam and are extremely very cost effective. The water is simply channeled through these lakes from the flood areas and it's associated man made canals or semi-rivers with proper depth.
When a river is about to be flooded, a lake 10-20 kilometers away is empties out with it's water going in a different direction to another lake. The extra water of any river facing the flood is now diverted to this lake that's emptied out in advance, saving floods and related devastation.
Pakistan needs these cost effective lakes built in a system to help grow it's economy through fish and seafood farming, expanding water sports as well as safeguarding from floods and saving fresh rain and flood water for storage and ongoing management. Every year there is millions of cubic square feet water that can otherwise be utilized for our own and economical benefit while ending flood related destruction for good.

If the concept makes sense, kindly educate people around you to create awareness. We don't need billions of dollars worth of dams. We need a lake system built to manage and save flood water for our use and betterment of our economy.

The flood is happening due to Incompetence of PML and PPP for past 30+ Years
But we because we are ruled by STUPIDS we will always cry after the water is spilled, this is how Pakistan operates , waits for Clamity and then talk shows for 3 weeks and then people move to next story
If you had a True Engineering Base in Nation we would have solved this issue long time ago

- Plans Artificial Lakes
- Plans how the Lakes will be filled in case of Excessive water
- Develops Monitoring process to track water transport so it does not spills into Cities
- Planes and calculates times how quickly the water will flow out with computer simulation
- Plans height of Bridges
- Plans Depth of Artificial Canal and how much water can be diverted

- Alot of the overflow is because people are breaking the barriers so flood would not reach their villages or towns or factories and instead go toward poor people farms
- If our Engineering base , had Developed Proper strategies to control Divert Water to Thar Desert or other Lake Locations as shown in map , we would have just open gateways to divert 30%-40% of water towards the Desert

You are the best so far dude for telling the truth.i’m in Pakistan right now visiting, it has gone backwards more poverty and no sense of law and order no justice for the poor.
Everyone will try to rip you off and they feel proud to do so- regarding Palestine they’re not bothered ,my in-laws say everyone has their own problems so they have a lot on their plate to deal with such as daily life issues.Being a Islamic country we should stand up for Palestinian people, just imagine if it was us and no one came to our help.
